Ok, my Connecticut story.

I was walking from tomorrowland back towards the castle where the Mickey and Minnie topiary sits. A couple were up in the flower garden with their arms around the topiaries posing for a photo. A cast member ran up and said
"Hey, you're not supposed to be up there". Without skipping a beat, the couple replied "oh it's ok, we're from Connecticut".

Seriously? What's that mean?

So now, whenever we see someone do something really stupid, we say "oh look, they must be from Connecticut"

And the CMs response was?? I would probably have gotten fired with my response lol

Oh you wouldn't get it unless you were from Connecticut. We are allowed to do whatever we want. That's the law.

We aren't going until October either. We leave on the first though!!! As excited as I am, I still have tons to do to get ready for this trip. On top of that we are in the middle of building a house!!!!

We go the end of October. I've already got my park bag packed. I'd have our clothes packed too if we didn't still need them lol
When do you move into your house?! That's a lot on your plate alone.

That is odd. I'm assuming they feel entitled. I'm born and raised in Ct, and it's an interesting mix....a lot of spoiled brats. I would have loved to be there or that, I would have loved to ask them what that meant!!

Where in Ct are you?? I'm pretty sure only a certain area of the state can use "I'm from Ct" as their excuse for stupidity or being entitled!

Yeah, I'm from Greenwich and I take offense to that spoiled brat line. Just because I drive a $650,000 car that my daddy bought me and I inherited the family business does not make me a spoiled brat.

Actually I'm from 1 town over from New Haven and the only thing I ever inherited was my siblings clothes.

I was planning a wedding, honeymoon disney trip and building a house at the same time! Stressed to the max but I totally miss all the "planning!"
Glad it's over, but so thankful for all of those experiences! Good luck, and make sure you plan enough space in the laundry room - washer on the left, dryer on the right!!!

I've worked all over the state so I've seen all the different "types" that reside here. Thinking DH and I will use the "we're from CT" excuse when roaming drunk around Epcot during F&W!!

It's such a shame because its so beautiful around Yale. I got lost driving around the school one night, around the bars and such. I ended up getting pulled over for "creeping" and had to ask the cop to give me directions out!!
There are more good people here than bad, I don't think I'll ever leave the state, unless I retire to Disney

I used to work at Yale and the campus is absolutely beautiful, but for what those kids parent's pay for tuition it better be, and the town has so much history to it and it's buildings, but you go 1 mile in any direction off campus at night and you are really taking a risk with your life.

I don't think anyone had a problem getting a room at POP for Nov. 16-22 but just in case, my TA was able to modify our existing reservation so she just canceled 2 rooms that she held for us on Thursday at POP.

I completely agree with you. I've had my vacation booked since the beginning of the year and would have completely missed out on the FD without the heads up ahead of time. The promo just officially launched on Thursday and there is already no availability at any of the moderates left for my week. I got through by booking online at CBR first thing Thursday morning, but obviously would have missed out if not for the early info. Thanks a million!

While I was unable to get the FD promo at a moderate the week I'm going, my TA managed to get us the promo at WL for $120 more (and now the week we're going is sold out there too). So without me knowing about this and being on the ball with my 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices, I think I would still be at POR but without any discounts.

I was pleasantly surprised after being bumped from Crystal Palace (due to the Night of Joy) at the last minute before my trip...this was all I could find. It was so good, I'm going back this year as well...just before the Halloween party.
