Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!! (And a whole lot more) ~ Part 3

As always, help when I need it for Disney.

JUST found out (in the process of trying on-line check-in) that United changed our flight home by 10 hours! We were leaving at 6PM and now, 7AM...I am very very unhappy. I booked Dec 29th (so we could get it all set and seats and all) and they did not even notify us of the change...not sure what we will do.

My husband spent over an hour trying to get this worked out (after my hour+ last night) and we have seats on a flight 20 minutes from the original (why they did not put us on that to begin with is a mystery) - BUT they cannot put us together. In fact, they have my kids alone...and say they cannot do any more than that. They suggest we ask people to trade seats...oh, my. I am sure lots of people will trade their reserved seats for a middle seat...at least we will have already been to WDW by the time we deal with that part. Maybe I will get some Disney-themed treats to help convince people...

I just cannot believe that they think this is an OK way to treat people. No more United for us - ever. Glad to hear that other airlines have handled it differently...gives me hope for our future trips.

Ahhh, back to the fun planning! DISNEY!

Ok....I have 30 days left....and I think I'm having the pre vacation panic attacks. We booked everything such a long time ago that I have the irrational fear of everything disappearing. Like we won't be on the flight manifest and our reservations with disney won't be there. The rational side of me KNOWS everything is fine. Ive done online check in with POP. I've already received my MM. My MBs are customized. The cutoff for them is today. So hopefully ill get them soon. I'm waiting for my PP+ paperwork to show up yet. I have everything that I could print out printed just for backup. I don't like the fact that my airline tickets are digital. The last time i flew was about 11 yrs ago and I had physical tickets in my hands long before I left. Now I just do online check in the night before. Somebody tell me I'm not the only one that feels this!!!!

I didn't do any ADRs...we have the QSDP. So I didn't have to deal with that headache. I couldn't imagine planning for that many people....wow....good for you!
I'm printing out my airline check in and putting it with the other print outs I have for our trip and bringing it all with me. We've been planning for a year. And we keep rushing our trip to come but I know as soon as it comes its going to be gone in the blink of an eye. Thats a depressing thought lol

If so, I can throw out some info on a promotion coming in a couple weeks.

I'm so sorry! We had a similar thing happen. Ours caused a three hour layover. I politely complained to United and they ultimately moved us to another airline (American). It took me three calls to do it (first call was disconnected as the CSR was making the change and second CSR said they couldn't do anything to help) - but third time was a charm. It's worth trying.

How many other people suddenly found the desire to check their flights online like me? Thank goodness, mine was still the same.

Since I'm close by you, I'm curious as to what town??? Norristown??? I'm a teacher in a school district whose superintendent and athletic director have recently "resigned", if you know what I mean.

Yes, Norristown would definitely qualify as one of the "rougher" towns on in the area. I was so upset when I moved from Bucks to Montco because I had to go down there for jury duty instead of Doylestown. : (.

That happened to my aunt in-law (if that's a word ). Her car broke down in Norristown on the way to her jury duty. She was so upset bc she was afraid she'd be in trouble for being late. The good news was she was excused from duty!

You can book this even if the offer isn't in your packet, but it must be booked while on your stay...just call 8844 on your resort phone.

Hilton Honors promotion to be released on October 7. Earn regular points (no bonuses) for one night stays, double points for stays of two nights, triple points for stays of three nights, and quadruple points for stays of four nights or longer.

Not a bad deal if you stay at these properties and a good way to rack up lots of points quickly.
