So today is my Birthday I decide I am going to call Disney and see if I have any pins attached to my name. I know the last pin codes just expired but I thought maybe I could get some pixie dust if there was an old one there. Well there was nothing under my name or my husbands of course But as I am saying Thank you for your time blah blah blah she tells me that "Tinkerbell just told me that you will have a great Birthday surprise, so check your e-mail today!" We are staying at AOA which of course isn't included in the free dining offer but I am still holding out hope to somehow get it And now my Birthday is going to be spent checking my e-mail until something from Disney Destinations shows up! Any gueses as to what it might be? I really am hoping it is a FD pin but that seems a little to good to be true![/QUOTE

I have had an awesome day!! I posted the above quote way back on August 15th. Needless to say I never heard from Disney well I wrote them a note to say that I was really disappointed but still heard nothing from them. Let me clarify this was not a mean note or a complaining note just an FYI kind of note. So I let it go and went about my life. Well I decided I would write Disney one more time just before the Free dining offer expired. So this was last week sometime. I wrote them a funny note about my Quest to get free dining! It was very tongue-in-cheek about all the ridiculous time I have spent reading about and signing up for different Disney stuff to try and get a pin code for free dining, watching these boards for the rumored dates it would be released then the silly emotional rollercoaster over AOA being completely left out of the free dining! Well I had given up this last Friday and wrote my TA to go ahead and charge my credit card. I received an e-mail this morning with my receipt for my vacation and was feeling excited to finally know we are going to Disney! Well about an hour later I got a call from my TA. She is calling to tell my that she just talked to a lady at Disney that read my e-mail and wanted to offer us FREE DINING!!! She tells me that Disney will be calling to talk to me so watch the phone. Well not long after that call Emily from Walt Disney World calls me! She was so nice and kept apologizing for not hearing back from them after the first e-mail, and I kept telling her thank you and I really was never upset just a little obsessive Well she says she was able to get us free dining by using an older code that included AOA! So I'm not sure if it was my silly note or what but I am going to Disney with Free Dining!! This has been such a rollercoaster ride of emotions!

I emailed Disney beginning of August and no luck with FD. Maybe I will try again and see if I can get lucky with pixie dust too. If you don't mind me asking, what did you chose as the subject of your email?

I cry now when I think about my first ever sight of Cinderella's castle. My DD (14) and I cried watching a CRT on YouTube. I think I am going to cry my way around all 4 parks. I can only imagine what I will be like at Wishes and the Parades. This is the trip of a lifetime for us.

I still remember the exact feeling of awe I felt when seeing Disney fireworks for the first time..,and that was in Tokyo Disneyland for their 5th Anniversary when I was in high school!
I cannot wait to see the look on my kids' faces when they walk down Main Street for the first time. I will be bawling for sure!

Oh yes. This will be our 4 year old's first trip to Disney. Just being at Disney has been awesome for my husband and I in the past. However, now, it will be even more magical. Wow!! I'm tearing up already.

I told my DH while we were riding the ferry over to MK...don't laugh at me if I start crying while we're here. He just rolled his eyes and shook his head. While we watched our first character parade, Hannah Montanas Pump Up The Party was the music. I had tears streaming down my face because the kids were so excited to see the characters for the first time. I looked over at my DH and he had tears in his eyes......it was great!
