Free dining needing to upgrade to deluxe

So I booked my fre dining online. Thanks to those who posted. But, I want to upgrade to Deluxe Dining. How long can I wait to add that? We wanted to wait until after the 90 day mark to see if we get the ADR's we want otherwise we would just do the reg. dining if we can't get the several (2 TS) dinners we want. I have been reading about how difficult the dining reservation line has been getting so not sure we'll get the ones we want. Anybody know how long you have to upgrade the dining?

I believe you have until 72 hours before your trip to change dining.

The CM I booked with said 48 hours prior to check in to upgrade to deluxe.

I thought it had to be done at least 3 days prior.

Be careful of the 72 hour in advance rule to add/upgrade your dining package.
This is generally true, but.....

The free basic dining and free deluxe dining packages have their own unique promo codes. If you change after the FD booking window expires (6/21 is listed now, that may or may not be extended) you may be priced without the FD promo. Guest services may be able to put it on, but I wouldn't risk being told that they can't give you a promotion code that no longer exists in their system.

Best to change it before 6/21. Dpending on your package dates that may or may not be within your 90 day ADR window.
