Free dining is coming back

YEH :cool1: :cool1: I am so excited.. It is back .... I just called and changed my ressies... they are not calling it free dining... But it basically is..
It cost us $40 more than originally .... for 8 nights and 8 days.... but yeh...
now we can EAT.... Now I have to make ADR's.... Where oh where do I begin?????

I've compulsively and carefully planned all of our meals for our honeymoon. With the free dining, I HAVE TO START ALL OVER :lmao: :rotfl2:

I have to wait until the 4th to call for free dining, but I can call for our ADRs tomorrow! It's crunch time, and I have some changes to make.

I want to make sure I have this straight. Are there any restrictions to free dining? There's no CS/TS to worry about? Are all of the restaraunts fair game?

TIA! :cheer2:

Does anyone remember when last year they announced the "free dining" for later in the fall (Oct, Nov, Dec)? We are still in the dreaming phase, but this would definitely help out with the budget!!! :thumbsup2

I just booked our one week trip at the All Stars.
I love that free dining.
I can hardly wait to make my ADR's

:cool1: Free Dining!!!! YEAH!!!! :cool1: Just called Disney and the young lady said that, yes it was for real but that they had not actually set a date for calling and making ADRs. She suggested that we call everyday and check to see if the date is set. She said that whatever the difference was, we would be credited back to the credit card. I am so excited!!! More money to spend at DTD!!!!!  :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :wizard:

Any idea how much a 8 night trip would be with this new deal? DH is starting to warm up to this idea. Also, how much more is it if you stay in one of the moderates? TIA

I was wondering a similar thing. I would like to stay for 7 nights. We were originally planning a trip fro Dec but I'. seriously considering a trip in Sep. What I did to get an idea is I went on the Disney website & checked the dates I wanted without the dining package. But I would like to know exactly how much to really start planning. Hopefully when the code becomes effective for the general public Diser's will start posting what they got.

Just called and book Sep 4-10 at Pop Century, 2 adults, 1 basic ticket (since we already have annual passes) and free dining. Cost with taxes is $753.14. I couldn't resist yet another trip at that price!!!

one more thing, you have to book with the disney visa card. I had to put down a $200 deposit. The general public can begin to book April 4.

its definitely free dining, my agent sent me an email last night, this is so exciting! Its available to visa cardholders now, available to the public on april 4th

They did not offer free dining last year for that time frame. Free dining last year ran for check-ins through 10/4 which ended value season.

Please explain free dining to me- we are planning a trip in July.

You wouldn't be eligible for free dining.

It is for stays from Aug 13th - Sept 30th.

However if you were staying during that time what you do is book a package through Disney where you pay rack rate (full price) for your room, but a MINIMUM of a one day base ticket for every member in your party and you would receive the dining plan for free.

With the dining plan you will receive one table service meal, on counter service meal and one snack per person per night.

We have 4 people.. Me DH DS10 DS17 staying at the POR for 8 nights..
8 day tickets... and ours was $2333.. Depends on if you have kids and what ages....

isn't that convenient- right around when school is back in session- probably why they do it then.

This would be so wonderful for me if it was a few weeks earlier as we are going the last week in July, if I could push the trip back to 8/13 I would but with school starting back I can't. :(
