Free Dining Fall of 2008

I hope this is the correct board for this question. When will Disney annouce the dates for free dining in the Fall of 2008? If you book a trip and free dining becomes available, will they add it to your package? Thanks.

No you can't just add it to your package. There has to be availability at the resort. My DIL had a package booked at Pop last year and the free ddp came out. She tried to apply it and there was no availability at Pop during her dates (can't just add it). So she had to move to the A/S Music in order to get the promotion. Of course availability does change often and sometimes a resort is not available, but as people move their reservations around to different resorts, availability does open. So booking and "holding" a space does not really help in any way. Of course if you plan to stay at that resort and pass on the free dining if it means you have to move to another resort to get it, they you should book the resort you want now. There are tons of threads on the boards this morning from folks who are booked at a certain resort and they can't apply the new Visa ticket upgrade promotion to their current reservations because the resort they are booked at does not have it available.

Available rooms @ a resort = promotions
Full resorts = no promotions



We are hoping for an AP discount for early May for some friends, so will be watching the boards this week as they should be announced any day now.

they will normally bring this offer out to the public around April 11 or 12th-- my advice is to be ready to book with your money ready for the deposit. I called 9am last year on the first day and pop was already booked, we had to go with All stars Music which was wonderful Last year i called my travel agent too and asked her to let me know the day the offer came out and so she did Good luck-- free diniing is great we are just debating if we are going late August this year or Early Sept

You will definitely know about it in early April when/if it's announced if you keep checking here. They usually announce the program very early April and then booking goes to Disney Visa cardholders first (April 9th last year?) then opens to the general public for booking 4/11 ish
