Free Dining booking window extended until 12/17

Disney World Free Dining Offer - Book by date extended to 12/17/11 for select nights 1/8/12 - 3/29/12.

NOTE: This is only for travel in 2012. For dates in 2011 the booking window still closes on 10/29.

Thats actually not good. That means the late fall discounts might be delayed in being released until the free dining window closes! Boo!

I was just checking this out on the Disney website. It says book by 12/15 for dates in 2011 and 12/17 for dates in 2012.

I've been trying to check availability yesterday and today on the free dining for January. It says you can book until December 17th, but when I click on "check availabilty", it comes back and says this offer no longer available. Has anyone else experienced this?

I just checked and the 2011 dates are gone. It's only 2012 now.

How did you check for the 2012 dates? Before when I would click on "check availabilty", it would give me the message that "this offer is no longer available" before it would even give me the opportunity to plug in dates. Now when I click on the free dining special offer, it doesn't even bring up the "check availability" icon anymore.

I'm going to think positive and assume it's because they are in the process of adding more rooms at the resort of my choice for the week I want!

There is no "check availability" to click on, but the 2012 dates are listed. Not sure what's going on since the "book by" date is December .

They might be having trouble with it or maybe they're changing something . Until they fix it, you could price it as if you're booking just the resort and tickets (no dining) and that will give you the cost it should be with free dining. Of course it doesn't show you availability under the promo, but it will give you an idea of what a trip would cost with free dining .
