Without going into too many details, my girlfriend and I made a spur of the moment plan to go to Disney a few months ago! January 10th - 14th are our days at Disney and we'll be staying at the POP Century, which is my 2nd time and her first time at the hotel. I have 2 friends whom are Cast Members and 1 of them is so nice enough to give us not only 2 days into the parks which is also a hopper, but also Disney Quest passes for absolutely nothing.
His birthday is in January so we both decided to give him a gift to show our appreciation.
The low-down:
January 10th: Arrive in Orlando from Boston at 9:15. We'll get our stuff and make our way to the Magical Express. Check-in at the hotel (however long that will take) and eat lunch since I'm sure we'll be hungry. I'll call my friend and we'll meet him at Animal Kingdom by Noon for him to get us in. He has work at 3 and won't be able to hang out for long. We party at Animal Kingdom until close at 5 and eat dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. Originally we had planned dinner at T-Rex, but we don't want to have to leave Animal Kingdom, head to Downtown Disney, then head to another park, so for the sake of time, we decided on the Rainforest and have lunch at T-Rex on the 14th. After dinner we'll possibly make it to MGM until close.
January 11th: Breakfast at the POP and then meet my friend again at Epcot for a nice afternoon riding all of the 3-4 rides *I'm* interested in. Walk through the countries, buy things and leave. Since my friend spends way too much time in the parks, he really hasn't been to Disney Quest much, which is why he suggested taking us! After Epcot we'll head to Disney Quest possibly for a good remainder of the day/night.
January 12th: The 12th is dedicated to me 'day' unofficially as we're going to MGM and I don't see any park Disney or not compared to what MGM offers. I honestly see it as arguably the best park in the world hands down. Possibly Boardwalk at night? Not sure, we haven't thought that far ahead yet.
January 13th: 'Her' day! Magic Kingdom early morning as it's their extra magic hours. We'll probably be here for the whole entire day/night, but who knows!
January 14th: Lunch at T-Rex as well as packing up and leaving for our flight at 7pm!
We're not really sure if we'll be doing any swimming our whole stay! Unless we swim at night or something. I really can't find a time period beside the time between lunch and the time we leave on the 14th. We'll make something work.
Here's where you guys get to enjoy! I'm one of those bloggin'/Social Media type guys who likes to take pictures and put them up on Facebook/Twitter, Flickr every chance I get! So not only will we be doing a full trip report with pictures and possibly video when we're home and settled in, but I'll be taking pictures and uploading tons during our days to Facebook and Twitter and I'm sure she will also! So if you want to follow us on Twitter, I'm sure it will get all you people who have trips planned shortly a little more excited and a little more updated on what to expect!
