Traveling to Disney in early December with 2 girls 6 and 12. We are currently debating between a 4 day park hopper or a 5 day. If we go the 4 day route we will have a free day and I'm not sure it will be warm enough to swim or anything at Hotel so just looking for some recommendations of things to do in the area that would be kind of relaxing and help kill a day.. We wont have a car or anything but could maybe Uber if needed.

I agree- the price difference between the two is small enough that I'd just buy the 5 day, even if you only go part of the day. Check ticket prices on some of the third party sites (like Getaway Today, for example) where the difference between and 4day and 5day is only $5 per ticket...

We recently were deciding between 3 and 4 day. Unfortunately, the cost difference between 3 and 4 day is a bit more, so we decided to just do 3 and then have a relaxed day 4 when we leave. We're going to try to book Storytellers for brunch, hang out at the pool (we go in July) and hit Downtown Disney for a bit. I think if you decide you want a free day and you don't want to worry about transportation, you can find plenty to do - go wander the grounds of the Disneyland Hotel, check out Trader Sams, do Storytellers for brunch, etc. I would not count on it being pool weather, but that honestly depends on your kids!
