Free COVID shot card laminated at Staples

A) How large are the cards?
B) What do you do for boosters?
The cards are a convenient 3" x 4". Much larger than a credit card and way too inconvenient to put in a wallet or purse unless they are laminated so they won't bend easily.

As already mentioned, we have taken photos and have them on our cell phones. I also scanned my card, and printed out a reduced size copy and laminated that to easily fit in a wallet and keep the original elsewhere to add future boosters.

Interesting that so many people were told not to laminate. I've been working at vaccine sites and we were told to tell people to laminate them and keep them in their wallets after their last dose.
My "card" is an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of paper.

My wife's "card" is a 8 1/2 x 5.5 inch piece of paper.

There is no keeping those in a wallet.

In my wife's case the second does is just a check mark on our "cards". The date, lot number, etc, is already filled in. She could check the boxes and be fully vaccinated.

The only value these "cards" have is a personal record of when you got the vaccine. If they are used in any way as part of controlling who can and cannot travel or attend an event it is all just pandemic theater. A feel good measure for those unwilling to believe just how easily a vaccine "card" can be created.

There will be, if they don't already exist, websites that can be used to generate you a vaccine "card" if they become needed to attend concerts, etc.

Unless there is a unified database of covid vaccinations any "card" is just for show.

I'm curious, did the place that you got your shots from not have the official CDC cards? Hopefully this won't prove to be a problem in the future for you as the "vaccine passport" will likely be a reality soon.

My wife went to the Gwinnett Newton Rockdale county department of health mass vaccination site in Gwinnett county.

I went to a Walgreens in Banks county.

If I need an “official” CDC “card” in the future, I will just create one. Should take just a few minutes.

There is nothing official about the CDC card.

Actually, while there will be apps and other various "passports", in most people's day to day life, it really won't be needed. As far as events where it might be required, I really think it will only last for a year or so (if that).

a) they fit in your wallet, about the size of a credit card. The same cards are being distributed across the US, from what I can tell.
b) the cards don't really have room for boosters. There are several lines for vaccinations, but the vaccine lot sticker covered up 2-3 of the lines at my vaccination site. So there was really only room for the 2-shot series. My guess is you'll get a new card for boosters, whenever they happen.

Both of those statements are contrary to what's posted in this thread.

For what it is worth my husband was able to fit his in his wallet.
Mine is still in my glove box until my next appt.!

Here is what mine and my wife's "cards" look like.

The CDC card is not some magical piece of paper.

There is no US nationwide standard.

At least in Georgia the vaccination has been reported to the State of Georgia GRITS vaccination database. That is what really matters.

If I need proof of vaccination there is already a standard way to request a vaccine transcript for a person.

The ones distributed in CA (at least So Cal) are like the ones @kdonnel posted. They are the size of two credit cards, put side by side, vertically.

So the consensus is not to laminate? Darn. I have not used my home laminator in over a year.
