I received an e-mail from Ebates today that said you can get a free companion airfare ticket by spending $50 at Kodak Gallery (plus 20% cash back through Ebates.) I read the fine print and cab tell that I still have to pat taxes and fees on the second ticket, but there are a few questions it didn't answer:
1. It says you have to first register the PIN they send you. Does this cost money? We once received a free 2N/3D hotel voucher from a local fitness place, but we had to register the number first, which cost $50. We didn't. If I have to spend $50 at Kodak, then spend another $50 (or possibly more) to register the PIN, then that's half the base fare right there.
2. Are prices the same as normal? I can book two RT airline tickets through several carriers right now from MCI to MCO for $500 ($400 base, $50 taxes & fees.) If these fares $400, then I am saving just $50 per ticket after purchasing from Kodak and non if I have to pay to register the PIN.
3. Are these for RT tickets? I didn't see "one-way" or "RT" in any of the promo material or fine print.
They are doing this though www.companionbooking.com. Anyone ever used this (or a similar) program before?
