Hi all! We just went to WDW for less than 48 hours on our way back from a conference and I did NO planning....my consequence...I arrived at Hollywood studios and was unable to see the lights at night...I'm so sad! So my question is this: are there other activities, shows or parades that are Christmas themed that are INCLUDED with admission? Mickey's party is too pricey for us but we are seasonal pass holders so I'm wondering if I'm missing anything else worth another day (or 2) trip???
Thanks so much!

I don't understand ... the lights are included, they just went up right? Did you just miss them before they went up?

The parades are holiday themed at MK & AK. Candlelight Processional at Epcot is lovely, and you can hear it if you stand nearby, just not get a seat (and technically, it is free, but the standby lines are long & there is no guarantee you'll get in. To get a ticket requires 2 TS credits or paying for a fixed price meal & getting reservations).

There are decorations everywhere, and characters are dressed up sometimes at the meet & greets.

I love it during the holidays :) But I don't know if all of that is worth making another trip?

I know the lights at Hollywood Studios and the AK Christmas parade are free and that Mickey's party is not. What other free Christmas activities are there? We are annual pass holders and will be able to visit for 1-2 days (Dec. 10th & 11th) and would like to make it a CHRISTMAS THEMED VISIT...what do we have to do? We can park hop for free.
Thanks so much!

There are also the Storytellers at the World in Epcot. Each country has a "santa" that talks about Christmas traditions in their country.

In the past there were decorated trees at Camp Minnie/Mickey at AK, but this may have been cut back or completely out.

The resorts have decorations: Giant gingerbread house at GF and gingerbread carrousel at Beach Club.

Thank you, I hadn't heard that about Santas in Epcot! Are there any parades other than AK?

I don't think there are any other parades except for the MVMCP crowd. We are not doing the party either (too much $$$), so AK is the only Christmas parade for us.
