Get a free Passholder 2012 calendar starting December 2
Nov 02, 2011

Disney Annual Passholders can get a complimentary 2012 calendar featuring Disney art prints and all the special passholder dates for 2012. You can pickup your calendar at Animal Kingdom's Disney Outfitters store from December 2 2011. There is a limit of one calendar per pass holder while supplies last.

Not surprisingly, the Official WDW passholder website gives no mention of this at all. Can anyone else confirm this?

I hope it's not a simple one sheet laminated calendar!!!

It would be nice if they had this a little earlier in November.

Hopefully they still have them in 4 weeks.

Kim

It's legit. There's an announcement about it in the new Mickey Monitor, for Passholders.

So that all passholders received one they should be mailed to passholders address at one per address to make it fair. and all could receive one. :confused3

Sounds reasonable. But I don't think they even get Mickey monitors to all the passholders, probably couldn't count on all the calendars getting sent out either.

I have not received my Monitor in the mail yet, but the online version mentions NOTHING about this.

I wonder if I call and request one.....would they mail it to me? Could we get it at the Disney store?
I just love it when they give you benefits you can't use!

It's not on a normal page. It's on a little insert thingy.

Ever since I got my 1st Annual Pass in December 2009 I have never once got a Mickey Monitor issue mailed to my house.

As for this caldendar when I am at the Animal Kingdom next month I will see if they are still available.

Can someone share how passholders are supposed to get them while at Disney? Is it similar to the pictures in the past and you go to Guest Relations with your annual pass?

Just got back from Animal Kingdom with my 2012 Disney Passholder calendar. There was only a short line (10-20 people) at Animal Outfitters and the process was very orderly. You show your AP plus a photo ID and they give you a calendar. Calendar is quite nice, with 12 separate 8x10 prints that are inserted into a sleeve, and another 12 inserts for each months calendar. The prints are suitable for framing, similar to what you'd get at an exclusive DVC event or for watching the virtual tours. Some are classic Disney scenes (Cinderella) and others are prints of artist concepts for characters, etc.

Overall, a very nice perk for Annual Passholders. I am glad I was able to grab one before heading back home tomorrow.

You have to go to Animal Outfitters in Animal Kingdom and present your AP plus photo ID. They are available starting today until they run out.

I will be at AK on Monday and I plan on picking mine up. I was checking with the passholder website every few days or so to see if the info was on there. They just recently added the details because there was no info about it about a week or so ago.

I was there this morning at rope drop, and as soon as it did, the line was out the door and part way up the bridge towards the entrance. By the time I left the park an hour later, it was over the bridge and starting down the hill on the other side. Based on how slowly the line looked to be moving, I'd guess it was about an hour long at that point. Having health issues that making standing for long periods extremely difficult, I chose not to wait in the line, and instead went to Guest Services to express my concerns. After waiting too long there, I chose to leave the park altogether. It was not the best day of customer service I've had at WDW.

What really bothered me though, is that this is only the second or third Passholder event I can remember seeing listed on the website at all this year (though I only check about once a month), and this is what they deliver? Waiting an hour or more in line to get a $10 item for free is a "privilege"? I'd much rather have more ToT nights or EE nights, or maybe an EMH night once a month. This was very disappointing, almost to the point of being insulting.

ymmv

To be fair, I'm back at AK right now, there's no line at all, they have many unopened boxes behind the counter, the calendar looks more like a $20 item, and they said the line was only 45 minutes this morning.
