Free Admission on my birthday...but during spring break crowds!??

Next year, DH and I will finally be AP holders (Premium) and I am so excited! We can't get away til April, but I'm still trying to figure out all the weekend we'll be going next year and the couple times we'll take off work to go as well.

April 17th is my birthday and it falls on a Friday. I would reeeally like to go on my birthday since we can't make it on DH's bday (in May). And I would really like some $80 or so gift card to spend that day! However, being April, it will be prime spring break/Easter season and I'm sure the crowds will be nuts. I know that April 12th is Easter, so we will actually be there the weekend after.

So my question is, should we wait for another weekend to avoid the crowds and skip the gift card...or should we go on my birthday and endure the crowds, and enjoy the $80 gift card? Anyone know where I can find the spring break calendars?

Most school districts post their calendars on line. It would just take some web browsing. I know Clark County (las vegas) is the week between Palm Sunday and Easter.

Is $80 worth longer lines for attractions, extra crowds everywhere in the Park (walking, shops, etc...), more time needed to get nice seats for parades / fireworks, and waiting for food?

Answer that question and you have your plan.

Remember, you can always skip most of the rides and just shop and people watch. You will have an AP after all so you can ride next time!
