My friend came through!!!! He just emailed me with Fred's address. It's pretty close to being the same as my son's:

The Marine Corps has provided an updated address for family members and friends to write to members of the South Bend-based Marine unit now stationed in Kuwait. Write to: (Marine's name here), B Co. Eng. 7th ESB ECHO Co., UIC 42335, FPO AP 96426-2335.
