Day 16 Home Again Tuesday 23rd October
Cast:
Me Joh, 33 Dont make me go!!!
DH Gary, 39 OK, Im ready to go now
DD1 Sian, 13 I didnt get to ride Sheikraaaaaaa
DD2 Rea, 12 No roller coasters for me
Im going to keep this short and sweet. Today was the day we all dread, the day that nobody ever wants to face and the day which is always at the back of your mind from the moment you set foot off the plane. Today we were going home.
As mentioned in yesterdays report, we hadnt planned anything for today mainly because we had an early pick up by Airtours (2:30 pm). We spent the morning packing, then caught the I-Ride up to Friendlys for an early lunch.
Before we knew it, the morning had passed and it was time to leave. Back at the hotel, we had freshened up and changed into clean tops and trousers for the journey back to reality.
The rest of the day passed uneventfully, with the exception of a 2 hour delay on our flight. None of us really managed to sleep on the plane so we were all tired when we landed. We picked the car up and drove up to Newmarket, where we were staying with Garys sister for the night, before the in-laws brought Daniel down to us tomorrow.
Final thoughts:
Definitely a very different trip than weve been used to, having the girls along too. Not worse, not better, just different!
I didnt feel too sad to be back after all, we had another trip planned and booked (leaving on Saturday yay!!!)
I missed Daniel more this time than on any other trip and I definitely think we will be taking him on his first trip to WDW in the very near future.
It never fails to surprise me how much we have yet to see and experience and, with things changing all the time, I cant see me being tired of WDW and Orlando any time soon.
Meeting virtual friends certainly added something to our holiday some of our best days and evenings were spent with our new found friends.
Watch this space for the next trip report coming very soon
