Hey gang, sorry I have been MIA, I've been lurking, so I have pretty much kept up with everyone.

Kellie - Hugs to you...I have been working on a little surprise for you on the other board I hang out on (that should give you a little hint - since I only hang out here and on the scrapbook boards). I think about you everyday.

So do I have to go over to the freebie board to see what going on...

I am doing okay. I read alot today and did some word searches.
I the morning I will be painting some Mickey posters.
Mt sent me things to keep busy.

We had rain every 2-3 hours from Monday until Friday! Nothing serious thank goodness, but enough to make us kindof housebound and stir crazy! Now the mosquitos are all hatching! Yuck!!!! I was sitting at my son's soccer practice last night and was being used as a chew toy! Tomorrow I'm bringing repellant!

Last I saw on the telly Gustav was definately gaining in strength, but the prediction cone was taking it farther away from us, so all is still good! And the sun is shining!

Kids are in school next week. Then I am going to come and kidnap you and take you to the Danish Pastry House (my friend own's it) and then hang out at my house with the dogs, cats, rats and guinea pig...

Yes, the sun was definitely shining today!! After such a rainy week last week it was nice to go to the beach under some sunshine today!!

Of course, the temps last week were nice even if we did have so much rain in the area! I can't wait till winter (since fall doesn't really change the temps around here!)

I'm still gonna keep my eye on Gustov-that one really makes me nervous, and I have family in lower AL that I'm also nervous for.

The Danish Pastry House is HEAVEN...My girlfriend Ulla is Danish and she has always wanted to do this. Three years ago she did. It's less than a block from my house. She makes traditional Danish pastries, importing all of the ingredients from Demark. Yummy. Now she's thinking of opening up a chocolate shop (and I am encoraging her )

The rats are really cute. Didn't think I'd get as attached to them as I am - They will miss Sarah when she's back in school full time.

I am sure that your Gato will be miss your dd...

Tinkerbean-how many swaps you into nowadays? I haven't been on the Scrapbooking board in what seems like forever! Maybe thats why I haven't gotten any scrapbooking done lately! My DH tells me that I better catch up on my scrapping before the next Disney trip in Dec. (I think he knows I would just skip ahead to do the Disney one first! )

Just finished two, postal today and four more in the works. I going thru a creative block tonight, hate my sketches, suddenly the embellisments I thought were so cute aren't doing it for me. So I opted for some wine, so who knows what my pages will look like now!

I always admire the swaps, but from afar! I don't have enough confidence in my work to participate (although I did participate in SIOH's baby book but that really wasn't a swap)

Ok, ready….this is going to be a looong post.

I have been watching my grandson yesterday and today because his summer camp ended Friday and school doesn’t start until tomorrow. DD rents a tiny place that doesn’t have a washer/dryer hook up so she has gotten behind and I offered to wash clothes for her while I keep DGS so he is ready for school tomorrow. So, between that, and washing up for my boys, who also start school at varying times this week, I have been doing laundry until I am ready to scream!

This morning, I drove into town to meet DD at work and I took DGS out to breakfast. I put a Tink antennae ball on my Envoy, which is decorated Tink from front to back. Within an hour, someone had stolen her right off my antennae. I went to Walmart to get paint and Kmart to get a prescription and off she went….on her own merry way, apparently! I got her at DL in January when we took our cruise. We are heading down to WDW in a couple of weeks so I will see if I can find any more Tinks while we are there. I've now talked DH into our first WDW trip without the kids and the free dining was the clincher for him! I think he surprised himself and really enjoyed DL without kids.

This afternoon, the high school called and told me they had accidentally given DS the Teacher’s Edition of his Calculus book and asked if he could bring it back. I loaded up DGS and returned the math book. I was certain that DS hadn’t noticed he had been issued a Teacher Edition or I would have heard about it before today. I guess the Calc teacher was getting anxious about getting the book back before school started. I can’t blame her there!

DH has been building a storage building that will also protect the cows from the weather (somewhat) and I told him I want to paint a “barn quilt” on some of the outside walls. He thinks I am crazy but he thinks that about me no matter what I do! I need to slap on some primer and some white paint in the area I will need for painting the quilts before he paints the whole thing barn red. That red would be too difficult to cover after the fact. One of the quilts I want to paint will be 8’ x 8’. DH says we should be able to see it from the road at that size. I don’t know about that.

I am so glad to see Tinkerbean back!! I have really, really missed your wonderful sense of humor! Stop back by anytime, ‘ya hear??

I wish the freebie thread would settle down. I have so much trouble keeping my mouth shut! I have even been known to shut off my PMs so that I won’t open my big mouth and insert my ever growing foot! When I see the ‘popcorn-eating smilie’ during the stirring up on threads, I immediately sign out and go away for awhile. You can’t convince me that person is sincerely trying to ‘bring people together’. I have never been asked to add someone to my ignore list before but I am happy to oblige.

Has anyone emailed or PMed Madd and told her to be on the lookout for JD?
