So after the Mammogram Friday as long as it is clean then I start treatment then out comes the tittyjack.

I am all for April being mammogram month since I already have one scheduled for next week. I do need to contact my new insurance to make sure they'll pay for it since I won't be 40 until next year. I did have a baseline one last year and ended up having to get another one and a biopsy. Lucky me, I have lumpy b**bs. I had problems with my insurance paying for the second one last year so I never even went in to get the follow-up that I was supposed to get in Sept. I know that's bad, but when you're struggling to pay bills it's hard to justify money for additional reassurance.

We still haven't got any official word on the state budget so neither DH nor I slept very well last night. I really hope for some good news soon. We're going bonkers waiting.

Does anyone know anything about Old English Sheepdogs? We have been offered a pup for free!! All I know is that they are huge and hairy and it is the kind of dog that Nana from Peter Pan was. We have to decide soon if we want it or not. Since my beagle, Ellie, died last fall, it has been so weird and quiet around. We assumed we would get a new dog this spring but were leaning towards a golden retriever or lab. We can't spend a lot of money on one though so are also willing to look at pound puppies. I don't know if we should hold out or take the giant furball. I love big, hairy dogs but they are so high maintenance and it would be very expensive to feed. I read that the males can get up to 200 pounds!!!

I have lumpy b**bs, too. I went to a new gyn and she felt around and didn't want to alarm me, but go get a mammogram...and an ultrasound. I was freaking out, but all was well, I was so relieved I cried after and hugged the nurse who showed me back to changing room..


I don't know much about Old English Sheepdogs, but I can tell you from a big sloppy, hairy, dog owners point of view that hair and drool all over your house can really dampen a relationship! We have a Newfoundland (Nana was a Newf in the original Peter Pan, in some stories she is a St. Bernard...never heard of her being an OES...) he is HUGE (160lbs) slobbery (think Turner and Hooch) and very, very hairy-LONG hair ......mix that all together.... Bathing and brushing are very difficult, he has a very thick undercoat that is really hard to get through. The cost of feeding him is the least of my annoyances..Dont' get me wrong, he is very sweet and loving, but he is alot of work. (He is my DH's dog, but I get to take care of him and his messes.. note a littel resentment on my part??)

I would not ever have another dog that was that high maintenance...

Didn't want to burst your bubble, but wanted to let you know the amount of cleaning/work you may have to do!!

Oh my gosh, what a day....and the week promises to get busier!

Kellie: I am sooooo glad to hear your great news! Celebrations are in order!

Rhonda: I am so glad that you and Kellie and John had a nice visit! What fun!

Marna: We will try to move to a bigger place before you move out this way!

Linda: The colonoscopy is next on my list of appointments to make. We have never had one and the insurance will only pay if it is billed as "done in office". There are only 2 doctors in town and I have to beg one of them to bill the insurance as an in-house procedure to get some coverage of the expense. sigh I know I can't wait.... And...I, too, am a member of the lumpy b@@b club

I heard, on the radio today, that Trojan condoms is offering Mr. Depp $10 million dollars to be their new spokesman and he is considering it.

Susan, I'll hold your hand if you hold mine...I haven't even called my insurance yet, I thought that at age 50, it was a covered procedure! I am so stupid about insurance, I have been lucky so far because I don't always follow procedure correctly..
