FP+ Window for Split Stay Not Open

I wasn't sure where the best place for this thread was, so please move if needed. I have a split stay coming up: April 26th-28th GF and April 28th-May 3rd YC. This morning my FP+ window opened, but only allowed me to make Fastpasses until April 28th. I triple checked and tickets (I have an annual pass, but bought a ticket for my fiance) and my second reservation is linked in MDE. I've read where the window usually opens for the whole stay as long as you check in and out on the same day. Any clue as to why this isn't happening in my case?? Would it make a difference that my first reservation is room only and my second is a basic package (no tickets) with the dining plan?

Do I call Disney or wait and see if it opens in two days?

I would guess it will open in two days, but I would call. No sense in waiting. You will have less FP selection.

Call Disney as soon as they open and ask a CM to help you with this. We had an issue with one split stay several years ago and had to call to get it straightened out. Good luck!

Well the FP+ window for the second half of my stay didn't open today like it should have. I had already booked a FOP FP+ on my parents account this weekend (they are staying the same time as us and their window opened for the whole stay) and was planning on changing the party to me and my fiancé when mine opened, so I decided to wait and see if it would open today rather than wasting my time calling for them to tell me I would have to wait until 60 days.

I stayed on the phone for 45 minutes and even the "escalation" team couldn't figure out why the system isn't recognizing the second half of my split stay. The CM had to go in and book all of my FPs manually and they show in MDE as "special FPs" so I can't modify them at all

There were still FOP times left for my AK day, so she booked that first. What's weird is I went into my parents MDE and changed the FOP FP to me and my fiancé and it let me even though it won't let me book FPs for that day so now I have 2 FOP FPs for the same day.. I guess it kind of worked in my favor if everything goes smoothly.

Our second half of our stay that MDE isn't recognizing is Club Level. Does anyone know if I can use Signature Services to modify my FPs if I need to?

It’s because you share your parents’ open booking window. If whoever booked FPs for them had also selected you two, you would have had all your FPs booked for Stay#2.

Signature Services can’t Modify the FPs that IT booked for you.

Yeah that would've worked, but we aren't doing the same parks on the same day. It's our honeymoon and my parents are just staying the same time after our wedding. My mom just let me book FOP in their names just in case I couldn't get it. I changed her FPs back after I switched FOP to me and my fiancé.

What you can do if your parents don’t need their FPs is to go to each FP and Change Party. Switch the FPs to you and new DH and ‘deselect’ your parents. Then, you have a set of booked FPs that you can Modify to other rides while having the ones IT booked for you.

So you can get your FPS via the umbrella method. Make sure your parents have all their FPS for a day. Then go back and select one of them, as well as you and your fiancé. It will prompt that your parent is already fully booked and give the option of “remove from party”. Go ahead and click that, and then you can go ahead and book FPS that day for yourself. Repeat for any other days!

Omg!! It worked!!! I would've never thought of that. Thank you so much!!!! Still don't understand why this is happening but oh well
