Have you experienced long FP wait times? If so what rides? How long? Always on specific rides or it’s just luck of the draw sometimes?

I feel like enchanted tales with belle may have longer FP waits, but that’s really just a guess I’ve never actually been on the ride, but have a FP for this trip so was wondering.

though enchanted tales was a reading not ride?

longest wait was for Soarin' and Frozen (ride at Epcot) both were 30 minutes for FP - other times the wait is less than 10 minutes.

I've found it to be hit or miss. I've waited the longest in a FP line for Soarin and I dread imaging what it must have been like in the stand by line. :(
I've also had longer waits on Rockin roller coaster and splash mountain. We go on SM multiple times per trip and sometimes we've walked right on and others, we've waited over 1/2hr. There's just no way to know.

I waited about 30 minutes for FP at ToT in November. In fact, most of the FP lines in that trip seemed longer than usual. Not sure if they are giving out more FP, or short staffed, or what the issue was...but definitely noticed it.

I think it mostly just depends. For Enchanted Tales, the FP line goes right to Maurice's door, so you get into the very next show. But depending on your timing, the next show could be a bit.

In our experience, Flight of Passage and Soarin' had the longest waits with FP. Test Track is also a process, with the car design, so it seems to always take us more than 30 minutes total to experience, with a FP.

The longer then what I remember FP wait is what I was worried about

Enchanted Tales with Belle probably isn't a good gauge of FP waits. It's more of a small show, so people are admitted in groups. If you just miss, your wait will be longer. If you're there at a slow time when they aren't running more than one room, it could be a very long wait. We did this during EMH once and just missed a group going in. We were the only ones in line but the wait was painfully slow.

We went last week and FP was generally under 10 minutes. There were a few times it hit 15. The longer waits were because the ride had been down earlier in the day so people with anytime FPs were crowding the queue. But 15 minutes was still pretty short. Many of our FPs were “walk on”.

Usually this is because of ride breakdowns and I remember that happening a lot in November and December- especially with ToT when they could only run one side.

Depends on what you define as "the FP wait time"
I define it as the time you wait till you merge with Stand By, unless it's a ride or attraction where the FP riders have their own line and/or vehicle/room. I'm not sure off the top of my head what, if any ride, load FP riders 100% separate from stand by. There may not be one
Having a FP can't control waits after you've merged in with stand by riders, if that makes sense. So I time it solely based on where you would go through a 2nd check point, if they had them working, or till you merge with stand by. That to me, is the FP line. I rarely have a wait more than 10, 15 min in that line.
The wait after that, varies greatly.

Flight of Passage takes forever due to the pre-show.
But that has nothing to do with the FP, or not having a FP.

I don’t include preshows in the wait time - I consider those part of the ride. We did FoP twice. Once, we waited 10 minutes to enter the preshow but not because of a line. We were only 4 families back from the front - no one got on for those 10 minutes. The second time we basically walked on. Maybe waited 1 or 2 minutes to enter the preshows.

I count time until I get on the ride or enter a preshow. And even then, it was 10 to 15 minutes tops (frequently less)

I agree with you but they are technically a way to trick you in to thinking your wait is over but really, they are "wait time". If you didn't have a pre-show to occupy you with something to do, you'd just be standing out in the numbered rows longer.

I normally don't, but FoP's is so long and cringe-worthy that it's a nuisance.

It does compared to other rides that don't have a pre-show though. You're essentially still waiting in a "line" of some kind due to the length of the pre-show. Our first ride on FoP was over 30 minutes all in.

Their other option was to have the guest stand there in the sorted rows reading phones or twiddling thumbs. Taking away the pre-show won't get you on the ride faster. The other ride before you is going on while you are in the pre-show.

From the FP FAQ:
- It is rare for any FP wait at any normally-operating attraction to exceed 15-20 minutes. This includes the most popular or lowest capacity attractions such as Avatar Flight of Passage or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. However, be aware that some attraction preshows (FOP, notably) can take 5 minutes or more, and for purposes of this thread FP wait is not figured into total attraction time (to include pre-show, boarding, and attraction time).

My only point was that if you're expecting to get through the ride quickly it won't happen.
