I used two separate UYs/contracts to book upcoming May trip.

Wasn't able to book ADRs via the 180 + 10 for the second part of my reservation until it's actual day rolled around. Actually, as in the past, I once again was only able to book the first day and had to call MS to book the rest. They told that me this is how the system worked and that FP+ distribution would follow suit.

Accordingly, I expected my FP+ date 60 day window would be split & reset for the second reservation number. However, was able to book everything at once today, despite having two separate reservation numbers in my MDE account, made with different UY contracts:flower:

For future planning, wondering if this is standard methodology (& MS misspoke as to my FP+ eligibility) or did I get lucky?

I have not had problems booking FP+ with split stays. I didn't think they were even on the same system as the ADRs.

This is a loophole in the onsite fp+ benefit. Look for the "throwaway room" thread on the theme park board. Basically, once you hit 60 days, for+ is limited by your ticket days, not your resort days. With a one-day reservation and 10 day tickets, you could book 10 days worth of fp+.

oh oh! hope the loophole doesn't mess up our plans! DD 31 staying with us 1 day pre cruise and will go to parks one day. Then after 7 day cruise, she will stay one more night before flying home and we plan on going to EMHMK that sat and a quick trip into MK in the AM the next day :hourglass before her flight. She will only have a three day park hopper. (DH and I are ok will have annual passes)

this is just a guess, but I'd think as long as you don't book more than 3 days of FP+ for her you will be ok as long as she is listed on the reservation even while on the cruise.

it's been an adventure unto itself trying to navigate the new procedures hasn't it lol?

My understanding is that the resort reservation in your MDE account allows everyone listed on the reservation to reserve FP+ 60 days in advance for the number of days on their linked ticket. The days with FP+ reservations do not have to be consecutive and can extend beyond the length of the reservation. So you should be able to book FP+ for the days your daughter will be there.

There is a limit on the total number of FP+ days that can be booked at the same time - I forget the exact number, but it's at least a week. Once you reach the limit, you either have to cancel one of the days or wait until the first day ends to book another day
