FP+ some people onsite, some off site

I have friends going this summer. Some of them are staying onsite and some off site. If you are staying off site, do you get a magic band? If you are offsite,can you reserve your FP ahead of time or do you have to do it in the kiosks in the park? Is there any way to connect the FP+ of the 2 people off site with those ofmthe people onsite?

1. Disney's been saying offsite guests who are not AP holders will eventually have the option to purchase magic bands for around $15. Otherwise they will need to use RFID tickets.

2. Maybe. There are limited tests going on with offsite guests who are not AP holders. I think the common denominator is that they have at least one ADR booked. Anyone who isn't testing has to use the kiosks in the park.

3. Yes, you can copy yours to their accounts once they are eligible. I read here that it might work better to copy them one at a time rather than try all at once.

of course we don't know yet how long it'll take to roll it out to non-AP offsite guests, or what will be going on by summer.
