ETA: Not sure if you're asking about reserving FPs at first opportunity or reserving FPs for certain times of day. If it's the second one, see the Strategies post in the FP FAQ.

No. You can book fastpasses for whatever time you want, as long as there are still some left when you try to book.

That's the wonderful thing about FP+ - you can schedule your FPs for any convenient time (assuming availability) and know that you can arrive when you want and still enjoy those attractions.

The bus driver will assist with lowering the ramp for him to use.

Of course not. You can make them whenever you want. That's where FP+ is a vast improvement over legacy paper FP. When there was only paper FP you got what you got, didn't matter if you had something else at that time, it was the time you had to work with. If they were gone, they were gone. You then did stand by or nothing. FP+ has it's draw backs but picking your times is not one of them. Want to pick them for last 3 hours of the day, you get to do just that.
