FP+ Question

When we go to WDW we usually play the whole trip by ear, we never plan out specifically what days we go to which park and when we do plan where we will be ahead of time it will be according to the extra magic hours schedule.

We also don't use the FP that much unless the wait time is ridiculously long (such as Soarin', and Kali River Rapids on really hot days)

Today we got something in the mail telling us that we could start reserving FP with FP+, i was wondering if we could just reserve the FP the day before, or the day of the particular park we go to that day.

We're just not sure if this is a bad idea or not. Is there a good chance that not a lot FP will be left is we reserve them the day of?

You can reserve FP+ up to 60 days in advance or the day-of once you're in the park. For the later, just head to a FP+ kiosk (or pull up MDE on your phone) to see what time slots are available. You're allowed 3 per day and they must be used in the same park and for different attractions.

I wouldn't worry too much about there being nothing available. You may not get the time slots that are at the top of your list but you'll probably get the attractions. If you have a rough outline of which park you're going to be in on what day, I'd reserve ahead of time just for peace of mind. And if you change your mind you can easily cancel the FP+ reservations and reschedule for the park you decided to go to.

Remember that your FP+ bookings aren't binding, so there's no harm in making them now then changing (subject to availability) nearer the time.
