DISers, I need your help! I have a question that I need answered as quickly as possible and no amount of googling is helping! I want to change parks because I've just learned a family member who I haven't seen in too many years (!) will be at WDW on one night I am there. He'll be at HS while we will be at MK. I would like to change my FPs to HS if I can get the same selections that his family has. But I need to know if there is a way to view and check FP availability at HS without cancelling my current MK FPs? :confused3 My apologies if you see a similar post which I posted last evening, but I've had no responses and I'm getting kinda desperate to check with cancelling. When I went into MDE yesterday, I couldn't see how to modify outside of the park I had originally selected. Then when I selected "make new FPs" I got as far as selecting HS, but got the alert that continuing would change my current FP selections. I was afraid to go any further. And I can't believe I cannot find an answer to this question anywhere! I'm about to burst!! :faint: :thanks:

No, I don't believe there is any good way to do this. There are sites that will show if there is availability on a given day (such as the Dibb) but not when that availability is.

That said, how many are you looking for (on your set) and how far out are you? If you are far enough out, your best bet might be to cancel yours entirely and have your friend select to copy his to you. If there is a reasonable assumption that slots will be open around the time of his, that will net you FP times that overlap with his even if they don't match exactly.

I made my FPs only 2 days ago. So I'm thinking the probability is good. However, we are a group of 5. If he is to select to copy his FPs to me, does he need to add us somewhere? Not sure how to do that.

You need to be linked in MDE -- you need to show under his Family & Friends and be flagged as having the ability for him to make FP for you. If you think the chance of availability is very good, then it's your choice whether to link like this or try to do them yourself. As you know, when you make the FP you get offered times and then you have to tinker with them (usually), so if you're looking for very specific times it's probably a toss-up whether it's more work to get linked up and then have the computer match your times or to save the effort of linking up and then have to tinker them yourself to line up properly. I don't know a lot about being on other people's Family & Friends list, so there might be some gotchas there for instance if you have minor children who can't be "invited", so I can't give you any more specific advice about which would be a better option, sorry.
