Tomorrow morning I get to get our Fastpasses! I'm in charge of securing the fast passes for our whole group (my family, my brother's family, and my parents).

Here are the fast passes I have chosen right now:

Sunday, July 7th: Magic Kingdom

Splash Mountain for most of our group (get a child swap) and Magic Carpets for the people staying with the 2 year old
7 Dwarves Mine Train for most/Enchanted Tales W/Belle for sil and 2 year old
Meeting Mickey and Minnie

Monday, July 8th: Epcot
Nemo
Frozen Ever After
Spaceship Earth

Tuesday, July 9th: DHS
Slnky Dog/TSMM for sil and 2 year old
TOT/Beauty and the Beast Show
RNRC

Wednesday, July 10th: Animal Kingdom
Kali RR
Dinosaur/Triceratop Spin for mom and 2 year old
Avatar Rides (split up into two groups for the two different rides)

Thursday, July 11th: Magic Kingdom
Peter Pan
Space Mountain/Monsters Inc. for some and two year old
BTMRR

Friday, July 12rh: Epcot
Test Track/Character Spot
Short Films
Spaceship Earth

Saturday, July 13th: Magic Kingdom

7 Dwarves
Splash Mountain
BTMRR

My sister in law doesn't ride any of the bigger rides except Splash Mountain. She will take my 2 year old nephew on other things and some of the party will be with her some of the time. How does my FP plan look?

Looks fine for the most part.
Triceratop Spin does not does not offer FP.
Make sure you go for the SDD FP first, then FOP. Don't do Mondays FPs first, then Tuesday, etc. Go for the hardest ones first.
1. SDD
2. FOP
3. FEA
4. 7DMT
Then go back and fill in the rest.

I think your plan looks great! The only thing I would do differently is to swap your FP for KRR with Kilimanjaro Safaris, but perhaps you are planning to rope drop that one. Looks like an amazing trip!!

We are planning on rope dropping the safari and then doing Everest right after.

The only thing that I would change is Nemo and SE. I’ve always been able to get on both of those fairly quick in standby. Check up too because I know SE is closing for remodel soon.

Soon? I don't believe that time is July though. I've been following the thread on the Rumors board and from what I can tell, that's supposed to happen a bit later this year, not this summer.

I know it's not as accurate as looking at refurbishments and such on the Disney website, but when I look on the DIBB I don't see anything about SE being closed in July. When Indy Speedway was down because of Tron, it showed closed on the DIBB.

Wednesday, July 10th: Animal Kingdom
Kali RR
Dinosaur/Triceratop Spin for mom and 2 year old
Avatar Rides (split up into two groups for the two different rides)

Since there's no FP fro Triceratop, what about the character greet for mom and 2 yo?

Thursday, July 11th: Magic Kingdom
Peter Pan
Space Mountain/Monsters Inc. for some and two year old
BTMRR

Will the 2 yo be tall enough for Speedway (if it's open by then, I forget)? If not, what about Buzz? Monsters Inc FP is rarely necessary as the wait is usually only the length of the show.

Friday, July 12rh: Epcot
Test Track/Character Spot
Short Films
Spaceship Earth

Again, a short films FP is rarely necessary since the wait is usually only the length of the prior show. What about Figment or LwtL? Neither of those gets all that long lines, but the FP is slightly more valuable than Short Films.

Looks great. Definitely book SDD, FOP and SDMT 1st thing. Than move on to the rest.

Let us know how booking goes.

Things didn't exactly go smoothly... but I got all the FP we wanted. I was bummed that we got Slinky Dog and 7 Dwarves for the evening, but at least we got them!

Yeah, it seems as though Mine Train isn't the easier to get anymore. Unless I'm mistaken I can remember a point where several DISers mentioned getting Mine Train on their arrival day or +1 day and in the mornings or early afternoon. I got it at 1:50 and was lucky to modify to 1:25 the next day I checked on my FPs. When they extend the hours this Friday hopefully, I'll keep checking to see if I can grab that 12pm time I'm looking for. Just remember on the day of, you could get very lucky and pick up at least Mine Train earlier in the day. That evening FP makes it hard to get lots of FPs throughout the day.

I’m just hoping that after our 7:20 Slinky Dog FP we can still get a Fantasmic FP...

I've read where you don't really need a FP for Fantasmic. Something about the FP seating isn't the best. And try to move your SDD FP up to earlier in the day. It's not easy, but definitely possible. Suggestions to do SDD right before closing is a good idea too.

looks great. I don't think any show needs a FP but thats just me. Other than that, good choices.
Well, i just saw i was late to this...it looks like it all worked out. Dont worry about the evening part. At least you got them!

Do you know what time they usually announce the park hours changes. I’m hoping to move a ride or two up if they do

I'm not sure what time of day they announce, but it seems to usually be the second Friday of the previous month. And I think it usually takes a couple of days for FPs to be loaded into the system for the expanded hours, so not seeing them Friday doesn't mean there won't be any.

I do not, but @GADisneyDad14 may. I'm just going to keep checking here on the DIS and of course the Disney website itself on Friday.

Park hours can be updated at any time, but the 'bigger' month before update is often the second Friday of the month prior to the month in question, and it starts rolling out in the early afternoon. If park hours get added, FPs start being added over the next 24-48 hours (ish).

Thank you to both of you. I will keep checking the site. I’m okay with what we have but would like to try to move up a couple of possible
