FP+...linking tickets and some magic bands?

We are planning a trip this Christmas and this will be our first since the new FP + was implemented. Will it be a problem to purchase tickets different places and link them to MDE? I have some rewards I can use if I go through UT for 2 tickets, and I can buy the other 3 with Disney gift cards through Disney. I saw that I need to log into MDE to buy the tickets. Will there be any issues linking these and the UT ones to MDE and scheduling FP+ that I'm not thinking of?

Also, since we're staying at the Swan Magic Bands aren't included. I'm thinking about only buying them for the kids to save money. Will I have any problems linking FP+ to 3 bands and 2 cards?

No problem at all. You link your tickets to your MDE account, doesn't matter the source of the tickets. Then you use either MB or cards to access that information, along with the FP+ info, from your MDE account. Nothing is actually loaded on either MB or cards; they are just the means to access the info in your MDE.

The only difference is that tickets purchased directly can then be assigned immediately. UT tickets can't be assigned until you have them in your hand because you won't know the ticket numbers until then.

UT also offers an E-ticket option which can be linked directly to a magic band immediately upon receipt of the numbers without having to have the physical ticket (in fact, with an E-ticket if you want physical ticket media you have to make the exchange after arriving at Disney). They can still take up to 72 hours to process your order (according to their FAQ), but many people report a rapid turnaround on these tickets.
