FP+ just not sure yet

my trip is not for long time but i am doing the #
trying to see if FP+ is worth for our family
does it really leave not flexable
becuse you say will be there and opps your not
i never been to WDW and we going as family of 8
so flexable but still have plan
i just feel like it would be planning to much ahead of time
anyone eles just pass on the fp+

No one is forced to use FP if they don't want to. But it is free to use, and helps to avoid the long standby lines for the major headliner rides. You aren't penalized for not using a FP that you have booked, and it is possible to sometimes change your FPs to a different time for you want to change your plans.

But you need to have some kind of general plan. Read Mesaboy's FP thread in the Everything FP+ subforum on the Theme Parks board.

Front of the Line at Universal costs money. FP+ at Disney is free. Well if you stay off site and want a magic band, you have to pay a bit for the band, but your ticket works fine too.

It is worth making FP+ reservations for every day you might go to a park (whether you are sure or not). Once your plans firm up, release the FP's for the days you decided not to go so others can enjoy them. We figure out the order we want to go to the parks, then make FP+ ressies for a couple of days for each park as soon as the windows open up. Sometimes the FP's you get can help influence your decision about which day to tour. Say you get lousy attractions for Monday, but much better selections for Tuesday. Well, let Monday go and tour on Tuesday instead.
