FP help needed for AK

We will be in AK for two days during our upcoming trip. FP selection opens up for us Tuesday. Pandora will be new to us and is my only unknown for our trip. Should we use our tier 1 FP for FOP both days or do FOP one day and NRJ the other day? I have read great things about FOP and not so great things about NRJ. If FOP is really incredible, I could see us wanting to do that twice. However, if NRJ is worth a FP, then I don't want to miss that one, either. We are not rope droppers or big on waiting more than 30-45 minutes in line for any ride. Our other FPs will be for Everest and the safari both days, both of which are rides we have done before and loved. I would love to hear from those who have experienced the Pandora rides. Please help me decide what to book.

I'd do Flight of Passage both days and rope drop River Journey. Also I had great luck with same day fastpasses. Just refresh refresh refresh. I got FOP for 5 people an hour out, and again on another day.

Oh, I'm not a rope dropper either but we arrived pretty much right at park open and had about a 30 minute wait for River Journey

I would FP Flight of Passage both days and do N'avi River Journey at the end of the day if you are not rope drop people.

I only got to do FoP, but would do FoP both days based on riding that and the reviews of NRJ, , but be aware you may not be able to get it on earlier day in your week. At my 60 days I could not get it initially for my AK day(3rd day of trip - only had 4 park days this time). Found out they released more a few weeks before (thanks to fellow Disers!) and was able to change from NRJ. I helped two other friends with Aug trips of 5-7 days, and could only get for last day(departure day before ME). So you may get stuck with NRJ for first day anyway - just an FYI!

Thanks. I have heard that about the earlier trip days. Our AK days are on day 6 and 7, so I hope we will be safe. However, I know these FP go quickly, so I am prepared for disappointment.

There will almost certainly be availability for days 6 and 7, but quite possibly not in the morning. I got FP+ for FOP on two days, also. Mine are on days 8 and 10, but both are in the afternoon. The day 10 FP didn't have to be in the afternoon (we chose it at that time since we're doing afternoon/evening that day), but we couldn't get a morning FP for FOP on day 8.
