Which one would you get a fastpass for? Rock n Roll or Toy Story Mania?
Which one is more doable at Rope Drop?

We're the opposite. We FP RnR then wait until the last hour of the day for Toy Story. We can usually get in about 4 rides when the line is really short. Your trigger hand does get tired though.

I rope-dropped Toy Story once, or I wasn't getting on it that trip. That's how insane it was. I waited 90 minutes in line once. I love Toy Story Mania. Rock n' Roller Coaster, I was always able to walk on.

We rope dropped RnRC and used FP for Toy Story. My reasoning was layout. We started to the right and did the roller coaster then Tower of Terror then headed to the other side to Star Tours, the processional, Indiana Jones, the sing along, lights motor action, toy story, Sci Fi meal etc etc. We never went back to the other side of the park until the 5:30 Beauty and the Beast and we were trying not to criss cross (wasting our energy in the almost 100 degree sun).

The problem with FastPassing RnR is that you still have to sit through a lot of waiting before you ride regardless (same with Single Rider). You have to sit through the video of them inviting you, then you get to the loading room to wait another 10-15 min. With Toy Story, assuming there's no FP line, you're probably looking at 5 min tops until you're loading into the ride.

Also you have to take into account the appeal of the line itself. There's nothing special about the RnR line but Toy Story has one of the more creative queue areas in the park.

Late night tip:

What they do at TSMM is close off all of the inside line area including the area by the Potato Head. The short line then spills out into the courtyard and they put up a 70 minute wait time. Most guest see this, shake their heads and leave.

If you're brave enough to get in line (or know this secret) you'll find that the line goes straight to the area where you pick up the glasses then up the stairs. 15 minute wait on average.

If you go late in the evening, make sure you walk by earlier in the day and look for a closing time sign. Right now they are closing the ride before the park closes. It's only 15 mins earlier but I don't want you walking up at closing time and you get turned away.

I should have added this in my previous post. You will want to be at the park at opening if it is busy like summer. We just got to rnr at 8:10 and it's already a 30 minute wait after 10 minutes.

EMH Day + limited attractions but that's still crazy!!!

I've only done it one way and it worked out well. RD RRC and we were about 10th in line. then did TOT then FP+TSMM

We thought so too. Last Sunday it wasn't that bad. We did rnr twice then tot twice in about an hour. Not able to do that today though.

I was torn with this choice, too. Ultimately we did FP+ for TSMM because it's something that everyone in my family could (and would) ride.

The ride does close early on fireworks nights. However, it will stay open past the posted close time if the line is short.
