FP for Festival of Fantasy Parade

I just grabbed a FP for the FOF parade this coming Sunday based on this thread - then I noticed a note on my itinerary screen that says "Town Square Viewing Area. Preferred viewing location at the flagpole near the Magic Kingdom park entrance." Is this a new, secondary location for the parade? Has anyone watched from here before?

FP for FOF parade is great especially if you are wanting to take photos or if you have kids, just don't do it in the summer. I swear my mom and I (who are both floridians, ended up with major heat issues).

As for the Town Square Viewing Area, I'm not positive but i think that is just where they list it, originally when we had our FP they showed us in the moat around Cinderella's Castle (LOL).

I have been checking for fast passes for the parade for the weeks of January 18 to the 31st and have not seen any available. Does anyone know if they have been released yet? I got my fast passes for everything else but the parade was never on the list.

Keep checking. They show up from time to time. I finally got 2 for my SILs (they were latecomers) I see them pop up once in a while. They are gone pretty quickly.

How was the view from here? I just got FP for his area as well and can't seem to find anything about the area other than it exists...I was so excited about the Cinderella Castle spot. Hoping this is just as good if not better

Sorry, we did not keep the FP. I did not want to have to go all the way back to the front of the park in the middle of the day. We watched from our usual spot in Frontierland, got a front row spot on the rope about 20 minutes before the parade started.

I had gotten a fp for the MSEP for the end of January but when I saw it was for by the flagpole as well, I changed it for something else. I don't want to be trying to walk all the way down Main Street for it through the crowds, and then all the way back up again to get a better view of the fireworks.

This is a GREAT spot! It's right in the Town Square hub so you get to see the whole parade as it goes down the street and turns at Town Hall. Here's some pictures from my FoF FP+ in this location. They're out of order so sorry!

I came on here (this is my first post on the disboards by the way!) to ask this exact question so thank you for posting pics! We would be getting here right after DD's nap from CR so this is actually a great spot for us returning to the park. I just wasn't sure if it was worth it to use the FP here or do another ride like Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, etc. Our other FPs for the day are Peter Pan and Jungle Cruise, both in the afternoon. The next day we have FPs for Cindy/Rapunzel (morning), Belle, and Under the Sea. (I'm still stalking for A&E but not counting on it.)

Same here. I booked FP+ for the parade on our arrival day. We will probably get into MK around 2 or 2:30 so the new location should be perfect.
