FP+ - APs offsite questions

We're heading back to WDW in February, staying at the BC for 8 nights. My parents are snowbirds who spend Jan-Mar in Orlando and have APs.

I understand that when my 60 day window opens, I can make FP+ for all of us including my parents since they are linked to my MDE. My question is more about the 7 day window for my parents' APs. If I make 7 days of FP+ for them, will they not be able to use FP+ for the 6 weeks they are in Orlando before our trip?

If that's the case, then I won't make FP+ for them, and hopefully I can copy to similar times for most of our choices at a later time. The problem is that we were going to use them instead of rider swap for some of the rides for my little one. In other words, I was planning on getting FP+ for me, DH and DS to ride Space Mountain and get a FP+ for DD and my parents to see Ariel at the same time. If I can't copy DD's FP+ to them, am I out of luck? Is there a better way to handle all this that I'm missing?

Maybe just book their FP+ for FoP with you guys in advance and leave their other days open for them to book during their time there before you arrive.

Yes they will only be able to book 7 days worth of FP’s, just found this out because my son is going to college at the University of Tampa and couldn’t book FP+ for a day trip. I just cancelled 1 day of our FP so that he could make some for his trip. If your parents are only going to do day trips then maybe you can book FP+ for only 6 days, that will allow them to use FP+ for their day trips.
