FP and multiple parks question

So for our trip in March, we plan on going to Animal Kingdom starting in the morning and staying until dinner at which time we will go to Boma and then probably head back to the hotel. But i would really love to see Pandora at night...
So with so little attractions it seems at Hollywood Studios right now, I was thinking on one of our days we could hit Hollywood Studios in the late morning, and hammer out the 4 rides they really seem to only have right now using our fast passes. Then I figure we could head to Animal Kingdom for the rest of the night. My question is if we exhaust all 3 initial fast passes earlier in the day at one park, will we still get to pick a new one from the mobile app once we are at Animal Kingdom? And if so, how likely is it to even get decent fast passes that late into the day for anything? Thanks

You can pick a fourth FP at AK while you're still standing in HS, as soon as you've scanned in for your third.

Keep refreshing, and you'll have some success, depending on party size.

Yes - the minute you use your 3rd FP you can look for a 4th without leaving HS the earlier the better!

You are probably not going to get a FOP fast pass but you could "maybe" a NRJ if you keep refreshing but you can most likely get a FP for most of the other AK rides and standby for FOP or NRJ.

Thanks that’s good to know. I will probably try to hammer out the pandora rides the day we go to Animal Kingdom for the entire day. When we go back for night I’m really just interested in the scenery. Aren’t all the rides in pandora indoors anyways?

Yes - and Pandora is beautiful at night as is the rest of the park! For us Pandora, the tree of life show and the live entertainment make AK a new good choice for us in the evening. I recommend riding Expedition Everest at night - one of our favorite things to do.

Don't wait until you get to AK that night to look for Fastpasses. You can use the APP to book your 4th Fastpass at AK as soon as you have used you DHS fast passes .

All of this!! My husband and I are headed to WDW on our first adults-only trip and I'm particularly excited about seeing AK at night! We always head out late afternoon to hop or head to dinner when the kids are with us. It's where we'll head after a morning at the Princess Half Expo and a walk through EPCOT.

Where can I find the rides/attractions that are open at night in AKL? Looks like our upcoming trip the park closes at 8 but we are so looking forward to the the new vibe. Always thought that that particular park would be the most beautiful at night. So ride wise...Kali - Kilimanjaro - Everest - visit with the gorillas - Dinosaur? What is open?

Hope it's okay to ask this here. We're wondering, if say we only use two FP's in DHS and then go to maybe EP or MK, will we be able to make any FP there? We usually only do TSM, GMR, and the Frozen show, these last few trips. But with GMR closed now, if we only do TSM and Frozen show not sure if we'll get any more when we move to the next park. We are big chickens and don't do R&RC or ToT, and only rarely Star Tours. TIA!

Book a fake one for Muppets and let it expire (or use it! Or tap in and don't use it). Then after those three you'll be able to book whatever you'd like that's available elsewhere.

Thanks, PopGirl26! Hmm, that's what I was thinking but DD27 thought the rules were now that you had to actually use all three before booking the next one. Or is that only to be able to book a 4th in the same park? If you're right, that'd be great!

There is no rule saying you must use all three; you must use them OR let them expire. I am 100% sure on this.

I believe that if your third is going to be in a different park you can simply book two (leaving one slot free) and once you check in at your first FP you can open the app and book the third at another park (which should up the chances you get something good in the next park). If you want another tier one in the same park that won't work but if you are doing it in another park I believe it works. I'm sure someone will chime in if I'm wrong.

That's what I thought, but DD27 was confused I guess and thought I was talking about something different. She thought I was trying to ask about booking for a second park before the day of. Anyway, thank you for the info, I appreciate it! Always good to have some experts here when I have questions!
