FP and Linked Tickets Question

I would really like to buy a one-day ticket before the price increase, but I am going in December and don't know what season that will be. Last year, it was regular, but who knows about this year? Right now, I have 4 days on a NE ticket linked to my MDE. So if I buy a regular ticket and my date ends up being peak, I realize I will have to upgrade it in person before entering the park. I realize I will lose all financial savings on it. No big deal. But my concern is with FPs. I was told by a CM that if the season is peak and I have a regular ticket, then I would not be allowed to make FPs. But since I have a 4 days linked on MDE, wouldn't I be allowed to make FPs for any date? If that works, then I guess my concern is what happens when I upgrade the ticket and prioritize it so that it gets used first before my NE tickets. Would I lose the FPs? I am really having a hard time wrapping my brain around this!

1. Yes. That has been discussed on other ticket threads lately.
2. Yup. Nobody knows.
3. Yes.
4. Yes.
5. In absence of another ticket, yes.
6. Yes.
7. Won't affect anything.
8. Nope.

Yes, I was on the other thread about the price increase. But my question here is about FPs. I'm sure others have linked new tickets after booking FPs. My question is about what happens if they book FPs on one ticket and then use another ticket. That really doesn't have anything to do with the price increase. I've only ever had one ticket per person linked in MDE, so I've never had this experience.

Please read my full post #2.

FP bookings don't "connect" with specific tickets.
You can book by having any legitimate ticket in your MDX account,
and you can USE any (same or other) legitimate ticket in the park.

Thanks, Robo. I think my misunderstanding was that FPs connect to a specific ticket. Like I said, I've never had more than one ticket in MDE, so I wasn't sure what would happen to FPs if there were two tickets. My DH has 5 days left on his NE tickets, but I only have 4; thus the need for one extra day for me. I will have to stop by Guest Relations to prioritize the one day ticket to use first on our December trip anyway, so I think I'll go ahead and buy a regular ticket. (My date for last year was regular season, but I know that doesn't really mean anything.) If I have to upgrade, I'll already be there. I have a free Disney GC just waiting to be used so might as well. I'll call and buy tomorrow.
