FP+ and Free Disney World Tickets

Hello all! Not sure if anyone has the answer, but I will be visiting Disney World in April with a friend who works for ABC. We will be using free employee tickets and half off rooms. How does FP+ work with free tickets? Are you able to book attractions before you arrive at the parks or only when you arrive at the hotel if this option is available to us.

I am pretty sure it will work like this:

Unlikely you can book ahead. Your ticket will be an RFID card and you will use it to scan in to the park and Fastpass+ entrances. You will need to wait in a Kiosk like to book your Fastass+ at the begin of each day.

Do you have the physical tickets or a document with a will call or confirmation number on it? I had a comp TA ticket a few weeks ago and was able to link my ticket to MDE using my e-mailed confirmation number and made my FP+ selections. If you have any type of ticket or confirmation number, give it a shot! If you have no ticket or confirmation number, there would be nothing to link to MDE.

You will go to guest services outside the park each day to get your ticket for that day. After that you can select your Fastpasses. The good news? It's a park hopper pass for the day.

For most things, hotel checkin, shopping & dining discounts, the CASTMEMBER must be there and in many cases, actually pay the bill. Be careful of blackout dates.

Were you able to make them 60 days out? I was able to link my comp tickets and I have more then one, as well as a 1 day pass from booking my package... Do you think I will be able to make fp+ selections for multiple days?

It depends what type of tickets the castmember is using. If she is using her "guest passes" then no, you must book day of and CANNOT link these to MDE. If she is gifting you paper comp tickets to use then these can be linked to MDE and FP+ selections can be made 60 days in advanced for you. Not for her though. She will be using her main entrance pass to get into the parks I assume, and these passes cannot be linked to MDE and all fast pass selections must be made the day of as of right now. If for some really strange reason your friend forgoes using her main entrance pass/company ID as entrance and wants to use her comp paper tickets, then she could book her FP+ selections in advanced. The only convenience of booking FP+ in advanced is you get to skip the line at the parks and just do your rides. We have yet to run into any attraction being unavailable yet on FP+ when booking the day of. Hope this helps.
