So I had a bit of a snag with a point rental reservation with DVC. The member had to change a few things around on their end, which impacted our reservation, and as a result caused my stay to become a split stay - two separate reservation numbers. However, both reservations are at the same resort, for consecutive dates, and are both linked to my account in MDE.

I tried to make ADRs today, and they will only allow me to make them for the length of my first reservation... not the full length of stay (or 10 days). I used the Help feature, and they indicated that ADRs and FP+ are separate for each reservation.

Is this consistent with your experience? This is really disappointing - I am can deal with it for the ADRs... but this really hurts for the FP+ at 60 days. Perhaps this is a lesson learned with DVC rentals.

The other weird thing... our date of arrival is April 27... and the website currently shows to complete my magicband order by April 21. That... seems like odd timing.

Would appreciate any thoughts or input.

The ADR system is separate from the FP system.

The FP system allows booking for all park days when a Split Stay is booked and the FP booking window opens for Stay#1.

Split Stays are explained in the FP FAQ at the top of this forum. Plan to book FPs for all your park days as soon as your booking window opens.

Thank you. Is the same true if the tickets were linked to the reservation which is now for the SECOND/later half of the trip? Do I need to somehow reassign the tickets to the reservation that is the first portion of the stay? Perhaps it doesn't matter which reservation the tickets were originally "linked" to.

Do this step:
Go to the FP area of your MDX account and attempt to book a FP for tomorrow. If your booking calendar is open and you can select a park and Attraction and a FP, your tickets are separately linked and you won’t have any problem booking FPs when your 60-day window opens.

If you don’t have an open booking window, you need to change the ticket “package” to Stay#1.

Closing as questions have been answered in 2 different threads.
