Fourth of July Fireworks Package

Hello all,

I booked the Tomorrowland Terrace package for the Fourth. It sounded like mostly the reviews of this have been positive, but if anybody would like to share some more insight on this- especially if you have done it specifically for the Fourth.

Also, do they have a Photopass photographer in the area during the event?

Reviews of the TL Terrace Skyline Lounge on this board have ranged from okay-to-poor. I haven't read a specific review of the 4th of July package, but the regular reviews have not been great. The problem is that the Skyline Lounge has no view at all of the castle or of Main Street, so there is no view of any projections (if any are shown). The view of the fireworks is the same mediocre-to-poor view you could get for free from the Galactic Grill in TL. That's a high price tag if you are betting on a super view of the fireworks. You could get a much better view for free from other places in the park. For example, for less than that price, you could book a dining package for F! and view that show and the fireworks from the ROA. Or, maybe you could watch the fireworks for free from somewhere in GE -- a first time possibility this year at DL. There are lots of other options, some paid and some free.

So you’re saying if I have a first seating for Fantasmic dining package to keep that instead and just stay where we are for the Fourth fireworks?

It's certainly a good option. The CMs will invite everyone in the F! reserved dining package areas to stay in their areas for fireworks after the first F! show. Everyone will stand and move toward the river to watch the show. The music will play over the speakers and the projections will be shown on the water screens. It's a nice way to get two shows for the price of one, without camping out for hours or dealing with huge crowds. After the fireworks are over, wait for a few minutes to let most of the crowd leave ahead of you, then make your way out of the area.
Another advantage: if the fireworks get cancelled (a not uncommon possibility at DL), you will not be refunded for the Skyline Lounge package. So you'll pay a premium price to drink sodas, play a board game or two, eat some desserts, and meet Mickey and Minnie (whom you could meet for free in Town Square or Toon Town) -- all of which could be fun, but not if you only wanted them to see the fireworks. But with a F! dining package, you will still get to see F! whether the fireworks go off or not.

Maybe it’s just the way it’s worded but this sounds like you might already have both of these booked? If so, know that there is zero chance of getting to Skyline Lounge after the first F! before the fireworks start.

I agree with @theluckyrabbit that the fireworks viewing at RoA after F! Is probably better than Skyline Lounge and the part about not getting refunded if the fireworks are cancelled is also worth consideration.

I haven’t done Skyline Lounge but I’ve yet to read a review where people were thrilled with the experience. Most seem to find it “ok” with fireworks viewing being mediocre at best. I’m honestly surprised they’re still offering it.
