Four seats on Southwest in Feb - $780 CDN

yes if you are flexible with dates, then use the short cut to cheap rates, and you will find alot of cheap fares

I have tried that and I am finding some for $62.00 but they are not direct. Do you fly direct or do make the stop? We have to be there for the January 7th and return the 17th. I am running in the marathon weekend and staying for the following week. I must be doing something wrong. If you book with SW and the price goes down do they credit you the difference?

I just checked your dates and Airtran has non-stop flights for $64US down and $84US back. So for 5 people, with the rate of exchange, that shoud be about $950Cdn. The do charge $15/checked bag but that is still way less than $1426.

ETA- That was for flights out of Buffalo.

we fly direct only. i looked at your dates, and they are higher for those days. Maybe the rates for the non stops did go up for the dates. I know weekends tend to be more. My sunday flight was 62 day 1 released but now are $96. Currently for the dates you listed, i come with a total $1286 Non stop rates.

If Airtrain as PP stated as direct flights at that price you might want to check them out.

SW will give you a credit towards future flights if they go down. They are avaialble for 1 yr from DATE OF BOOKING.

That is a great price!! Thanks so much!! Have any of you ever flown AirTran?
We want to fly out of Buffalo. I could not believe the prices out of Toronto now. It is worth the two hour drive for us.

Thanks again!!:thumbsup2

We've flown Airtran several times and have never had any problems. We just figure the extra charges (bags, seats) into the cost of the tickets. We usually have less than one bag per person (2-3 bags for the 4 of us), so that cuts down on the luggage charge. The other thing that some people don't like is the frequent schedule changes, but that seems to be the way things are in the airline industry right now (SW may be an exception to that rule). Our JB flight for December has had 3 major schedule changes since we booked. While our current flight times might not have been what I would have ideally chosen, they are still nonstop and the price for the tickets was right. I believe Airtran still allows you to change to another flight time if there is a schedule change, but with limited nonstop flights between BUF and MCO, unless you're willing to change to a connecting flight, you're probably stuck with whatever flight times they assign to the NS flights.

We flew with Airtran in Aug. We booked our flights around 5 months in advance and like PP stated they do switch the flight times around a lot. But they are also accomedating when it comes to switching you to a better time. I started out flying on a Sunday at 10:37am and that specific flight ended up leaving at after 5pm. The good news is we ended up leaving a day early at around 1pm and got an extra day out of the trip. They seem to do most of the changes in the first few moths. I think our final flight was set about 2 months before we flew.

Despite the changes we were very happy with Airtran and have just booked with them for Jan.

I would not mind an extra day at all! ;)
Like the PP mentioned. I think flight changes are a normal thing now. I had booked our flight to LAX with Delta months before our trip and they kept changing the flight right up until two weeks before the flight. They told us they had to cancel the our flight home! :scared1: They ended up getting us a flight on NWA.

Whe will you be there in January?
We are staying at the AKV.

Thank you all again.

We will also only fly out of Buffalo. For us it is only a 45 min drive since we are in the Niagara region. Our Dec trip for 4 is about $575 US ... I find that flying SW on Tues/Wed is always the cheapest.
