Four days versus three

We are planning for a trip next year. Our girls will be one and almost three. We are debating between three and four days. We have never been more than three. However I'm thinking if dd wants to see princesses or we decide to do some adult rides, four days might be better. This does mean about 200 dollars more with food and a hotel. What are your thoughts?

If it was me and the $200 isn't a hardship, then I would go for 4 days. Being able to take our time and fit in those extras like the meet and greets, an extra show, some spontaneous moments of fun without worrying about "being on the clock" is part of the joy of a Disney trip for us.

I agree with longtimdisneylurker, assuming the extra $200 isn't too much of a stretch I would go for 4 days so you don't feel as much pressure to do everything really quickly

With kids that age I would lean towards three days. They can only go on maybe half the rides anyways and can't stay up for the evening shows usually. And three-year-olds are especially susceptible to over-stimulation anyways.

My two cents after having four kids. :)

This!

If you can afford it, I would absolutely do the extra day.

Being able to take your time, let the children go at their own pace, go back to hotel for naps/swimming, and know that you don't have to hurry, hurry, hurry, in order to fit everything in, is a fabulous option!:)

True dat. We've went with our kids multiple times (4 and 2, 6 and 4, 13,11, and 2, and upcoming 14, 12, and 4). And we grow them tall. I would say that all kids can enjoy it, but the magic year is around 4 when they hit 40". Before that, the Mickey Quotient (Enjoyment for parents AND kids) is around 3 days tops. Once they pass that mark, almost everything opens up for you.

my $.02.
