fountains and footwear?

Hi all
Still planning my April trip, just wondering what to do with my kids feet when in the fountains....I'm thinking a pair of teva type sandals or water shoes or is barefoot the norm? What about when it's pouring, have you changed their shoes so the sneakers don't get soaked? We'll have a double stroller with lots of storage space....Also, do you bring a change of clothes in case they get soaked?

Our two little ones spent a lot of time in the fountains last summer and had a great time!
They wore water shoes, but there were also people in tevas or barefoot. Each day we packed an extra t-shirt and pair of shorts and undies in a ziploc for each of our kids--we'd just change them into the dry clothes when they were done playing, and the wet clothes went into the ziplocs.

We pretty much stayed under cover when it was pouring down rain (which wasn't often, fortunately). Hopefully someone else can give you some tips on keeping the kids' shoes dry during rainstorms!

I'd just get them some sport sandals; DS lives in them on outings.
You can usually get nice bargains on them at places like Marshall's, and they stay comfy no matter how wet they get. I won't let him play barefoot in fountains anymore; he once got a bad cut from stepping on a water nozzle at the play fountain at our local zoo.)

Bring a large ziploc with a change of clothing, and borrow a hand towel from your resort. Dry them off after they play and put the wet towel in the bag to bring it back to the hotel.

ok, this may be a silly question but do adults go in the fountains too? I want to play too! lol Just wondering
