Has anyone stayed here? My step daughters' mom got us 2 nights next month for DSD's birthday, and was wondering. Give me the good, bad and the ugly, we're supposedly in the presidential suite!! :confused3
TIA!!!!

Is it the Fountains Resort, owned by Blue Green? It's a timeshare, right? My in-laws let us use some of their "points" for our 2007 Disney trip to stay here. We really enjoyed it for the most part. It was great to have our own little apartment. We had a full kitchen, 2 full baths, 2 full bedrooms (one with a jacuzzi tub), a living/dining area and a balcony. Very handy with our then 10 month old. The pool and club house were wonderful, very tastefully decorated and a nice place to hang out. They do have a small grab and go type food place...not sure I'd call it a restaurant, but you can get sandwiches, chips, baked goods, snacks, and drinks there. They also have a small gift shop with resort & Orlando souvenirs & a few basic necessities.

They were in the process of constructing a new water park there during our stay and our room did overlook the construction, but since we were gone a good portion of the day, we never really heard or saw much construction going on. I believe the new park is now complete and open.

The biggest draw back for us was the location. It is conveniently located between Seaworld and Disney (we visited both), but that whole area just seemed out in no man's land and far from what I would consider a "main drag" with stores, restaurants, and gas stations. We had to drive into the parks every day, and while for some the good deal they got on this resort will outweigh the minor inconveniece of driving to Disney, for us, with a baby and all she brings with her, it was a hassle. We felt were always loading and unloading, and since we stayed on the 3rd floor, we had to take a slow, HOT elevator ride down to the parking lot every morning and night. The room entrances are outside, though pretty well covered and sheltered, they are still outside. The elevators, of course, were enclosed, but not air conditioned. NOT a good thing in central Florida heat and humidity!:scared1:

I would proabably stay here again, as my main complaint wasn't even about the resort or it's amenities, but rather it's location, but as a parent to a now toddler, I will stay on Disney property for our next Disney vacation. It's just a lot easier being so accessible to your room at any time during the day.

Thanks for your input!! It is the timeshare one, my step daughter's grandmother has a time share that she's rented out points or whatever it is on it, her home timeshare is in tennessee. There's gonna be 4 adults and 4 kids staying in the 3 bedroom. It's supposed to have a dart board and a pool table. So we'll see. I was just wondering. We're going to the park for one day, and this resort is kinda on our way to disney from where we live, so out in left field sometimes isn't that bad. We're going over columbus day weekend, so wish us luck!! LOL Thanks again!!

We stayed there this past April and loved it. During that trip we also stayed at Caribe Royale and Hark Rock Universal - the Fountains was the favorite.

Your room will be a condo - we had 3BR and 2 baths, a kitchen, dining area, family room with pull out couch. I think there was a flat screen tv and dvd player. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. We were on the 3rd floor in a new bldg and found it very quiet.

But there was plenty to do! There are 2 pool areas: the indoor/outdoor one is in the clubhouse and has a swim up bar and volleyball net. There is a small work out room, pool tables, basketball court, hot tub, and lake for fishing and paddle boats.

The other pool area is beautiful and large with 2 slides, a bar (you can get food there as well) - there is hair wrapping and other activties held there. They have different events planned for each day for a minimal cost -- make your own sundaes, movie night, s'mores, puppet show, live animal show, etc. They allow you to bill back to your room for the bar and hair wrapping.

I agonized over the "best" condo place for our family and really found this to be a good fit -- it was small enough that you could walk everywhere (not like some that you have to drive a car to the pool!), but had plenty going on to keep my three occupied all day. I know that there were some complaints on Tripadvisor about the slides closing earlier than the pool.

We had a car, so we didn't use their shuttle service. We also used the car for grocery shopping to stock up the place.

Not sure about any "presidential suite" though....:confused3

We took a tour when we were there last year and they showed us the units with the pool tables. They're fabulous. Lots of room to spread out.

I found pics of the "presidential suite"!!! Check out the Fountains website I gave earlier, then click on photos -- photos 9 through 12 are of the presidential suite -- complete with pool table and dart board -- something like 2700 sq ft!!! :cool1:You are going to love it....

Thanks you guys, it seems like it's gonna be nice....and it's bigger then my house!!! HOLY COW!!! So, we should be okay there for a couple of nights!!!

It looks VERY nice. So we'll see!!! Thanks again!
