While going through some keepsake boxes, I found little newspaper they used to give at the resorts. It was from our honeymoon week, dated October 25-November 7, 1985. Here are some of the headlines with a little of the articles:

"Whitney Houston sings "On Stage" tomorrow!"
Whitney Houston, Quarterflash, X and What Is This headline a spectacular preHalloween Top 40 "On Stage" event in the Magic Kingdom, Saturday night, October 26. (This was my wedding day so we didn't arrive until the next day) a $15.95 ticket includes access to all Magic Kingdom attractions during the hours of the event - from 9:00'PM to 1:30 AM.

"$140 Buys You 365 Days of Disney Admissions!"
The keys to the vacation kingdom can be yours for one year for as little as $140 with the purchase of a Walt Disney World Annual Passport.

"Village Halloween Party October 26"
a gathering of ghosts, goblins and ghouls will descend on the Walt Disney World Shopping Village the evening of October 26, 4 to 9PM to haunt the special Children's Halloween Party.
( too much to type but the highlights include villain appearances by the Wicked Queen from Snow White and others, pumpkin carving contest, a showing of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow movie, costume judging with prizes and all of this was FREE)

There was also an article about the 3 different places to have breakfast with the characters: The Terrace Cafe in the Contemporary, The Empress Lilly and the Papeete Bay Verandah at the Polynesian. It goes on to say the cost was $7.50 adults, $5.95 for children 3-12. Oh and no reservation is required!!!

There was also an advertisement to audition for Voices of Liberty.

Ticket prices are listed as follows:
3 day World Passport (MK/EPCOT) $48.50 adult $ 40.50 child 3-12
4 day - $58.50 adult
River Country $9.50 adult $7.25 child
Discovery Island $6.00 adult $3.00 child

It physically pains me to see those prices. A character breakfast for $7.50 per adult?!?! :rotfl:

That is interesting! We also have scans of some of our airline tickets from the '90s and found that prices haven't actually increased much at all!
