When someone asks advice for comfortable WDW shoes I usually recommend Crocs or Teva Mush flip flops, but I've finally found some I like better. I just got back from WDW May 13th. Before I left I bought some Montrail Molokini flip flops from Zappos.com. I bought the oyster/brick color. Oh my Lord, I never knew shoes could be so comfortable. I can't believe I paid $55.00 for a pair of flip flops, but have decided they are definitely worth it. When you get these babies, you actually bake them in a 250 degree oven for a few minutes, then stand in them for a few minutes, then walk around in them (no kidding, they are baked, then form to your feet). The footbed of the shoe forms perfectly to the sole of your foot (even my individiual toe prints were embedded into them). They have fantastic arch support and a heel cup that just softly cradles your heel. You feel like you are walking on pillows with arch support:cloud9: . They have great tread on the bottom, so you don't have to worry about them getting slippery on wet surfaces. The only thing I don't like about them is that the area between the toe thingy and the end of the shoe is a little long, but I guess it's to keep your toes from getting stubbed. Even though I had doubts at first, I fell in love with them this trip and will definitely be buying more. Check them out and read the reviews on Zappos.

just courious, while you were baking them, did you have to baste them ? :rotfl2:

Hey, my mom was there when I put them in the oven and said "I can't believe you're going to take a chance of ruining $55.00 flip flops, when you said they were already comfortable". She made fun of me and them, until she saw the look of ahhhh on my face when we walked my dogs or walked around town shopping in the days before I left for WDW. Before I left for WDW she had me order her a pair fussing the whole time that she couldn't believe she was paying $55.00 for a pair of flip flops. When they came she said they were already comfortable and she didn't want to take a chance of ruining them by putting them in an oven, but I finally talked her into letting me bake them, with her threatening me the whole time that I better not "burn" her shoes:rotfl: . By the time I got back from WDW she too was in love with her Montrail Molokini's. She's a diabetic with very bad knees and swears their arch support has helped her back and knees. She also has very long toes, so likes the extra length in the toe area.

Just ordered a pair!!! Thanks, is that your review on Zappos? If so I am a die hard reef lover so I am now so excited to try these!!! I bought my Dad a pair too!!! Thanks for the post!!!:thumbsup2

Oh my gosh...you are SO going to get me in trouble with my husband!:rotfl2: I am a flip flop fanatic! I live in my teva mush...when I looked at the montrails though, I HAD to have a pair. HAD TO!!! I am so excited for them to arrive!! I can't wait to put them in the oven!! I LOVE THAT!!:lmao: I am also a big birkenstock fan...mainly b/c they conform to your foot in a way that crocs and even Teva mush can't do...but birk flips have a hard toe post and that always spells blister!:scared: To find flips you can BAKE and mold to your foot...:cloud9:

Flips are the secret to world peace...if everyone would put on a pair of comfy flips there would be no need for wars...or therapy...just slip into the flips and all is well!!!;)

As a matter of fact one of those reviews is mine. I've never written a review for a shoe before, but just had to with these. They are so comfortable. Tevas Mush are my favorite flip flops, but I also like the Crocs, Havaianas, and Reefs. However, I think the Montrail Molokini is more comfortable than any of them.

Aubriee, Thanks so much for the link to monotrail molokini. I just ordered mine. I was so happy to see that they carry them in my size. I have a danty size 11:lmao: . It is so hard to find comfortable everday shoe with arch support for plantar faciatis (sp?). I am a nurse so my feet always hurt unless they have good arch support. I hope that the shoes will be wide enough for me. I figured I have nothing to loose because of the free shipping here and back if they don't fit. I'll spread the word!!! Thanks again.:thumbsup2
p.s. I see that you can't sleep either hahaha

Do these flips look clunky on your feet? I'm a little nervous now as I was looking at pics online and they seem almost orthopedic looking!!!:scared: I love flips to be streamlined and light. I'm sure these are light...but they just look CLUNKY!!

Hi Kmaria!! Welcome to the Dis!! I would LOVE to hear how the Molokini's do in Disney!!! Please let us know how it goes!! I'm sure they are super comfy!! Your body will be SCREAMING after a day in old navy flips at Disney! I know this b/c I wore my pink pair one day when it was pouring down rain. My Teva mush flips had soaked up all the rain and birkenstocks get ruined in the rain. So I had no choice. I was aching all over after that day!!

I have a brand new pair of Teva Mush on right now. I love them! I was hoping my husband wouldn't notice...but he caught me in them today when we had my step daughter at the doctor!!:rolleyes1 woops..;) I fibbed a weens about how much they cost.

Hello my name is Campbell and I'm a flipflopaholic...:cool1:

good luck with your new flips!!! I'm sure you won't be sorry!!!

Aubriee you are a rock star!!!! These are great!!! You were right the were comfy when I first put them on but now that I baked them.......AHHHHHH!!!!
Thank you!!! :thumbsup2

Neonurse I have a size 11 to and they fit great!!! Hope you like them!

Hthrbells:santa:

Breaking in here because you ladies have flip knowledge. I have a pair of Reef Bitsy's and I love them. But I can't find them anywhere other than Ebay. Any idea when these were actually sold and where? I'd love another pair. Does Reef discountinue flips?

I'm so tempted to buy these now, but I don't think I've ever spent $55 on a shoe for me. Maybe that's why my feet hurt all the time.

I put it in my favorites and I'm going to think about it.

Mine should be coming any day now. Can't wait to try them. I'll let you know how they are. $55 compared to $110 for birkenstocks, I think that I can handle $55. I know that for people without foot problems is seems like alot but trust me for a arch support shoe it isn't. My mom spent $250 YIKES!!!

These sound great! Any chance someone could post a photo of what they look like on a foot? Preferably one looking down at the top of the foot. The sandals look so wide. I have searched the internet and couldn't find one anywhere! That makes me think they might not be the best looking shoes on. I don't have any foot problem but am planning a trip to Disney. :) Thanks!

Got mine on friday. I love them. If you go on zappos.com they have pictures looking at them from all angles. They are not a regular flip flop because of the support so the they do look a bit wide and chunky. I am willing to take the chance fashion wise to have a comfy pair of shoes that don't cost over $100. I still think they look way better than crocs.:lmao:

I looked at them on Zappos, does anyone know if they come in sandals? My Mom doesn't like anything between her toes!

Are they like instant rainbow sandals? I love my rainbows, and they form to your feet too. Do these form a lot deeper and have more cushion??

I have tendonitis, and I think these shoes sound really good!! mountaingear has a few sizes/color for 19.98 and 29.98 and shipping is $5 ........http://www.mountaingear.com/pages/product/product.asp/imanf/Montrail/idesc/Molokini+-+Women's/Store/MG/item/203375/N/661 Im considering getting the plum/lime for 29.98!
zappos will pricematch 110% if its the same size/color (too bad they dont have the plum/lime in stock!) Thanks for the reccomendation, OP!
