Found Dolphin 11/8-12 for $189 a night on SPG.com

It's not a great discount but when I was checking last week, the best rate was like 239. I phoned Swan/Dolphin Reservations as well and there's no AAA, AP or Allears rates available. In fact, she didn't even show the 189 rate that she could book over the phone.

Continuing the watch for APs there or for one of the Disney Deluxes but I doubt that any EPCOT resort will beat that rate.

I had the opposite thing happen with the Swan 10/5 -10/08. The government rate was not available on the web site, but was available when I called the hotel directly. I got a rate of $149.

I guess it pays to check both ways.

Did you get the rate through one of the special offer links, or just through the reservations section?

Thanks for asking - we have ressies there from the 9-13 of Nov, but at a higher rate ($249)...still looking for any discounts. We do have a backup for less money but this is our hands-down favorite place.

I found the 189 rate on SPG.com this morning. It just said "best available rate". It had not been there last week and it's not there now. The cheapest now is 239. I guess I just caught a bit of luck.

Keep checking the web site but call as TallyLassie says, too because what the reservationist sees and can book is apparently not the same as the web site.

I'm happy be be going back to the Dolphin. Need to build up some points after using alot this year.

You can also click special offers under the hotel listing at Starwood. There is a Labor Day rate of $159, and a Kids Eat Free for $199 with a complimentary one-category upgrade. That offer is valid from July 6, through September 5, 2005, but not sure of the availability. Seems there is a lot of conventions going on this time of year.
