FOTL Still going on??

We are planning a trip to either HRH or Portofino and know about FOTL. The Universal website no longer mentions this as a privilege for onsite guests. Is it still going on? They only mention express access. Now that you can get Express with any ticket, how is this an advantage to staying on site? If FOTL access is no longer offered, is there any other advantage (other than the close access to parks and early entry and charging privileges) to staying on site? We are planning on going in April 2002. Thanks!

The express access perk for on site guests is WAY different than being able to get an express pass. Without on site privileges you can only get one express pass at a time. You have to wait in line at the express pass kiosk to get the express passes and they run out of them on crowded days.
By staying on site, you just show your room key and go right into the express line. When we were there we usually walked right on the rides. You can use this all day--long after the express passes have run out. It is WONDERFUL!! Wouldn't go there without it!
