FOTL Question

I am a WDW person and we have decided to take extended ( out of town)family to Universal.

We are thinking of a 3 bedroom suite somewhere where....
But after doing some reading.......

Do i understand correctly that if you stay one night on Universal Hotel you can actually get 2 days FOTL...

Is this the day you checkin and day you leave and how early can you check in to use the FOTL???

Also does each person in your group have to show the key to get front of line??

The day you check in and out are the two days you would be able to use FOTL. You can check in at anytime of the day, but your room may not be ready. The front desk can hold your luggage for you, but you will be issued your room keys to show FOTL. Everyone in your party will need a room key and they will only issue 5 for a two queen room and 3 I think for a king room.

Although your room probably won't be ready in the morning, you can check in at anytime and be given room keys to show for the Express Line. Your roomkey will have your check-in date and your check-out date on it and this is what the Express Line attendant looks at. The hotel will try to contact you when your room is available. On the day you check-out, you will have Express Line access all day, even if you check-out of the hotel before park closing.
