On Universal's website, it says for FOTL to show your hotel room key card. Is Universal like Disney in that each person in the party gets his or her own card with his or her name printed on it? Or do you get one key card that has everyone's name printed on it who is staying in the room? Just thinking about whether we'd have to always carry all of our cards with us or if we could get away with maybe my carrying just one and DH carrying just one. (At Disney, we carry the younger three's cards for them, but sometimes it was a little bit of a headache to keep track of all the cards - "Who has all of the cards? You have them, don't you? No, you used them to get the Splash fastpasses, remember?, etc.)

TIA.

Each person receives their own key card. You should carry them all with you. You may be allowed to just show one at some attractions from time to time, but the rules are you must show them all, so you should be prepared to do so. They have some great lanyards that just hold the key cards available. I recommend purchasing them as it makes it very easy for everyone to show their card -- or for you to just pull them all out. It's also helpful for attractions where you have to stow all bags (The Mummy, MIB, etc.), because you have the pass with you to get in without having to remember to transfer it.

I just took my ds11 over Thanksgiving, and we liked it so much we put a key card holder in dh's stocking this year, so he'll have one, too!

If you go to yard sales keep an eye out for them, we got a Disneyland lanyard for ten cents. We got 2 Universal lanyards to keep when we took the Behind the Horror tour and we've seen other lanyards but we already have more than we need.

Thanks all. I was kind-of hoping we wouldn't need to carry around all of our cards again, but I guess we'll just deal with it. I like the ideas of the lanyards.

for the children, have the TM at check in at the hotel, put "no charging" on their hotel key cards.

just have the charging privilege on the adults cards.
(this is keyed into the card)

that way if the kids lose their hotel card, no big issues or worries of the card having unlawful charge usage on them.

all that are registered in your room, will receive the hotel key card, even the 4 yr old.
