with universal changing their policies overnight, I am concerned about the "unlimited" fotl if staying onsite. I am going to stay one night at royal pacific just for this reason but someone posted that last year during the summer the unlimited fotl access was only after 3 p.m. for hotel guests. Is this true. Also if you are going and staying onsite and you have any type of problem with the fotl, please post as soon as you get back. I am thinking of maybe cancelling universal and doing seaworld instead.

Now that the free express is gone, they have no plans of limiting FOTL for onsite guests.

In the past, FOTL was always been limited before 3:00 during the summer. Only a few attractions had the scanners for room keys (Mummy being one), that would show if the person had ridden in the past hour (or it might have been a 2 hour window). If express wasn't that busy, the Op might let them in anyway.

I'm sure one of the reasons they eliminated the free FOTL passes was to leave more for resort guests. The lines may have been too long. So, now more than ever, it makes sense to stay onsite.
I see a rise in resort prices though.

It makes perfect sense for USF to maximize the potential of the FOTL pass for on site guests...This is their bread and butter perk. My problem is that for years USF has been known as the local friendly Park but lately I just don't see it. That recent addition of the Premier AP (may not be the name) is an example of taking a good idea and then whitling it down so that it has little real value...I mean 8 free bottles of water??? EP after 4:00??? Early Entry??? What good is any of this for an extra 100 bucks per person???

USF needs to woo thelocal and AP'er more than Disney, IMO.

I am actually leaning toward getting the premium pass if they offer an upgrade to APers.

While I agree the 8 bottles of water is out of left field (why not 52? or at least 12?), to me, the main value of a premier pass would be the complimentary valet parking ($8 each trip, and I will use it each time--that walk back is always long), and the "annual pass" to CityWalk (keep in mind, PI gets $60 for the same).

They are never going to give APers unlimited FOTL like hotel guests--there are just too many of us. FOTL after 4 pm is just a nice way of letting me get in a quick ride or two before I go to CityWalk, probably worth a buck or two a month.

Good point Jason, I'd bet you're younger than me (I'm older than dirt) so I don't think along the lines of going to City Walk like younger folks would.
