Hi, We will be going to universal over spring break. Sometime during the dates of 4-8-16. We decided to stay on-site for FOTL becuse of our time frame. Hopefully it will help.

Does universal have fl resident rates , codes or other discounted rates you can book?

Thanks!!

They do have a Florida residents discount. They also offer discounts for AAA and for annual passholders. Sometimes if you get a good rate quote for AP, it works out to buy at least one AP for the discount. Call 1 800 232-7827. Tell them you would like to check the rates for your dates. Tell them you have AAA, are a FL resident and have an AP. See what rates you come up with. You can hold the rate on a 24 hour hold while you decide what to do about booking. If the AP rates are out and they are the best rates, you can buy the AP when you get there. I think an AP costs about $180. If you're staying a week this may be worth your while.

We had excellent luck with the AP discount this year. The savings on the room more than offset the increase in ticket price.

The AAA and APH rate codes seem to work the best these days.
The APH rates come out a various times, so you have to keep checking for them. That's why it may be better to book the room with the AAA rate, and then if a lower one comes out, you can call and have it adjusted. I know a few people did that. They posted messages saying they got their rate lowered with APH. In my case, the AAA rate was the same, so I didn't change it.
