Forum for First Time Renters

I am renting points for the first time and wondered if anyone could point me to a forum just for us. Questions I have seen in other threads include:

adding ME and DDP to existing reservations
checking in to a DVC property as a renter
access (or non-access!) to DVC member stuff while renting
specific questions from new renters to experienced renters about their experiences.

I do not think there is any such forum, but most people here would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Read the sticky threads at the top of the Rent/Trade Board.

You will not be entitled to any DVC member discounts or perks if you rent. You can not add anything to the reservation. The member will need to add the Dining plan and Magical Express and any specific requests. You will have to pay for the Dining Plan when it is added to the reservation and it must be added at least two days before you arrive.

Are you renting from a company like David's or a private party? David's has a website w/lots of info.

I've gotten lots of information on the David's Vacation Club Rentals site. I was just looking for a way that renters could ask each other questions, instead of posting under DVC Miscellaneous or bothering DVC members.

AFAIK renters are not allowed in the TOWL. I've always been asked for my blue DVC member card as well as a room key.

No, renters do not have access as you have to show your DVC card to go up.

IMO the person that you are renting from should answer your questions, that is part of what you are paying for. The owner has a vested interest in making sure that you have a great vacation.

I prefer that the families that rent from me get the answers from me instead of possible miss information from the internet.

Agree with Bill...contact the member from which you are renting. You are paying for a product/service and the member should be ready, willing and able to answer all questions.

No, renters do not have access as you have to show your DVC card to go up.

Pretty much all the DVC perks and benefits will require that you show your DVC member card. And you are not a member.
